Nightwish is not for everyone. A "fem metal" hard rock band staring Tarja Turunen. They are from Finland and are simply one of the most unique bands in history. Not since Sarah Brightman have I heard a voice like Tarja's. Her voice is remarkably powerful. This power is evident in the songs Sleeping Sun, Walking in the Air, Swanheart and Angel's Fall First. You'll also notice that NO OTHER Nightwish album has 5 stars...I think that says something.
What caused her separation from Nightwish to go solo (see Tarja - My Winter Storm) I do not know. But his album is surely one of the most remarkable, heavy metal, fem-metal albums of all time.
Tarja's voice is simply that amazing and wonderful. Log onto YouTube and watch "Walking in the Air" for the evidence.
