Excellent Work!
This is a very mature work from Trent Reznor getting back to his essential power looking back to the pretty hate machine but now with the progress of technology its better and more sophisticated you can tell, that Mr. Reznor hasn't lost his touch and the way of making new music that will influence another bands and will sound so good live, I can tell by my self that this album sounds great live and I truly recommend it at all.
Thank you Mr. Reznor and NINE INCH NAILS!

Trent Reznor released this ablum for free online... yet I purchased the limited numbered copy to help support his forward thinking music model. The album also included a great bonus video DVD along with some other goodies that just made me love my purchase all the more. My favorite tracks off the album are 1,000,000, EchoPlex, Demon Seed... ahh hell, I love the whole ablum!

I think this is a very solid album, even more so than Year Zero. Old school NIN fans will find plenty to like here. There are nods to all the old albums, but more than anything this is a return to roots for Reznor.
Unlike the experimental/noise concept album that was Year Zero, this record feels more like a mix of Downward Spiral and the more recent With Teeth. Overall, it's a great album.

The Slip is a great album!! I've been a huge Nails fan for years and I like everything Trent makes. I like that he changes his style from album to album. My favorite is The Downward Spiral,but I'm a fan of all of his work. I didn't know The Slip was a free download. I bought mine from Amazon. Even if I did download the slip. Trent Reznor released this album for free on his website, which I immediately downloaded. It has quickly become one of my favorite NIN albums. To show my appreciation for his contribution to music, I decided to buy the physical album as well, and gave it as a gift (of course I will borrow it... it has some DVD extras that i want to watch)
