Free Music Notes for The Day The World Went Away

Free Music Review: foreshadows amazing music to come.
Hit: 5 Stars

this music is amazing. the wait is well worth it, contrary to what some people have said in previous reviews. i got this just yesterday, and haven't stopped listening to it. the lyrics for the title track are eerie, the music is..uhh..spacey. starf**kers is a great rock song reminiscent of many past nin songs, particularly "the perfect drug," "supernaut," and "burn." and the quiet version of "the day the world went away" is a mind-blowing ambient track that rivals the original version. don't listen to whomever posted those negative reviews; they don't know what they're talking about.

Free Music Review: Simply the best release in a loooooooong time
Hit: 5 Stars

As a NIN fan you could expect something different, something that could shock you at first, just as TDTWWA did... at least it happened to me... I was impressed when i heard the single for the first time, 'cause I expected something new, but not as impressive as this. Starf@@@rs is just as good as any song on the TDS era, and yet, it's impressive as hell. The quiet version of TDTWWA is just amazing, and yes, it gets closer to perfection. I don't have to tell you to buy the single, cause true fans already did it already and, as me, have listened to it 65352341248698575745 times

Hope they come sometime to Mexico city

Free Music Review: Excellent, excellent introduction to the Fragile...
Hit: 5 Stars

This is, without a doubt, a great way to kick off the Fragile era. The title track is a great song, with that ever so cool organ sound, excellent loud riff, and nice vocals, no wonder why this song was chosen as a single.
Star...you know, is a great song, bringing us back to the days of Broken once the chorus hits. Besides that, hi-tech, awesome sounding song.
The Quiet version of TDTWWA is a great, relaxing song, revolving around that warm organ sound and a piano.
What else is there to say about this single besides excellent? I'm just disappointed they did not release the video of TDTWWA...

Free Music Review: Some People hate others to suceed
Hit: 5 Stars

Well it seems many people just don't like this single. of course, they fail to say that and say that the whole band must now suck. But aside from that, I thought this was a very well constructed peice, The two TDTWWA tracks are very mellow and a change on what he's done in the past. and Star****ers, Inc. is a very well put together power balad. remember now the way many musicians that aren't shallow survive 3 years boy bands, are at the very least semi-thematic, and we don't have the full CD. This was my first NiN CD, and I love it, it actually made me want to go out and get some of the other albums.

Free Music Review: Trent's still strong!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have to admit, when I first listened to this single, I was slightly disappointed--it was good music, to be sure, but it didn't seem quite as rich as other NIN somehow. But after listening to it a few more times, it really grew on me--it's not lacking anything NIN used to have, it's just more subtle. Both versions of TDTWWA are an awesome songs, with rich melodies and unusually insightful lyrics. Starf**kers, Inc. seems to be thrown on there just to prove that Trent can still write Broken-style music, but it's still quite good. Definitely worth the purchase. Trent hasn't lost his edge.
