Free Music Review: Can anybody possibly rock harder than this?
Hit: 5 Stars

This album was not taken from one live show. Instead, the live tracks are taken from several different shows and sequenced in a non-relevent order.

Nirvana music is toxic and horrid, and live Nirvana music is more agressive and raw. This means one thing for Nirvana fans, so-called fans, and those who are not fans: if Nirvana music to too excessively toxic for YOU, then you should avoid this live album.

However, if you LOVE Nirvana and Kurt Cobain (despite the toxicity of the music) you will LOVE live Nirvana. This album has great energy and a very wide-ranged stadium sound. You can tell that the band is not playing in a studio because of the atmosphere.

Buy this album if you dare.

Free Music Review: The best live album that I have heard
Hit: 5 Stars

When I heard about Nirvana, I knew that they were pretty good, but I was never really into them. I knew that they were no longer together and that they did the song "Smells like Teen Spirit" and that is about it. I decided that I would go to the local Warehouse and purchase a Nirvana album. The only one that was there was this, so, not knowing how it would be, I bought it. This album is a classic. It has opened me up to the world of grunge and showed me the passion Nirvana had live. This is the best live album I have ever heard. No other really compares to it. This is a must buy for every single fan of Nirvana. If you are reading this review considering whether or not you should buy the cd, buy it, I recommend it.

Free Music Review: One of my 4 favorite albums
Hit: 5 Stars

Man this CD is great. I've always been a sucker for live recordings, and I like Nirvana, so it falls into place. My favorite songs off this recording:

Smells Like Team Spirit: of course, easily the most recognizable Nirvana song

Lithium: Kind of song that makes you want to sing along (in fact at one concert the entire crowd, over several hundred people, DID sing along to this cut)

Heart-Shaped Box: This is my favorite Nirvana song of all time. Personally the soft parts send chills down my spine.

Polly: I like the electric version performed here much better than the studio cut. In fact it's one of my favorite guitar riffs.

Negative Creep: you want headbanging? you got it.

Blew: Nice way to end the CD.

Free Music Review: Awesome
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is terrific. Having never had the oppurtunity to see Nirvana live, this is the closet that I am going to get. From the intor of the ablum when Kurt screams his lungs out this album punishes you to sit back and enjoy all their great tunes. The first song "School" is a an excellent track that sounds way better than it did on Bleach. The tracks that standout as the best live performances on the album are "Aneursym", "Scentless Apprentice", and "Milk It" these songs are wickedly awesome and make you want to crank the volume all the way up and rock out. Nirvana changed the face of rock music in the ninties, and it is nice to get a glimpse into what the live performances consisted of.

Free Music Review: Experience this album
Hit: 5 Stars

Out of all of Nirvana's studio albums I don't think one has captured as much raw energy as "From the..." has. Taken from live performances from 1989 through 1994 this live album gives a glimpe to what many (including myself) missed at Nirvana's amazing live performances. The guitar roars over a barely audible Kurt Cobain, the songs are faster, louder and more intense than their studio versions. All these things and more make "From the..." what it is. From "Bleach" to "In Utero", from "Negative creep" to "Heart shaped box" this album showcases what Nirvana is, was and always will continue to be, a band who changed everything.
