Free Music Review: Nirvana goes alternitive

Ten years gone, and Nirvana's music is still running wild. This record goes more alternitave than their other albums. This cd even punkers will love. If you like "Green Day", you will definitley love this cd. Before I bought this cd I though "Nevermind" was the best album in the world(which you should buy in addition to this)but after just heiring this album I simply thought, this is the greatest Nirvana record I have ever heard. It is the best really. Well actually a tie between this and "Nevermind", becuase "Nevermind" is an incredible record. Insesticide also really defines grunge. And most of the songs on this record is from the "Vaselines". They wrote all of my favorite songs. They wrote "Mollys Lips" and "Son of a gun", which are amazing songs. This record could really get you into the Vaselines. They are an amazing band.
This is definitley a must, if your a Nirvana fan or not, if you like bands like "Green Day" and "blink 182", you'll love this cd. Ten years without kurt, we need you dude.

this is by far the best nirvana album yet.all the songs are pure no-frills grunge.there are no fillers on here.here is what i think of each song one by one:
1.Dive 3/5 pretty good intro,could be better
2.Sliver 5/5 wonderful! the video is awesome!
3.Stain 4/5 pretty good
4.Been A Son 5/5 awesome! it's about a girl whose parents wanted to have a boy
5.Turnaround 4/5 pretty cool devo cover
6.Molly's Lips 5/5 good but just doesn't sound like nirvana
7.Son Of A Gun 5/5 awesome fast punk song
8.New Wave Polly 5/5 Incredible! sped up version of "polly"
9.Beeswax 5/5 this song makes no sense to me,that's why i love it
10.Downer 4/5 pretty cool.kurt's idea of a political song
11.Mexican Seafood 5/5 disgusting lyrics,but cool music
12.Hairspray Queen 4/5 pretty cool noise-infested ditty
13.Aero Zeppelin 5/5 cool.it's about desperate fans

Free Music Review: Great for all the wrong reasons

Before I begin to review this CD, I feel forced to ask a question; why review albums that you hate? I just spent like 15 minutes reading reviews about how people hate Nirvana and their "sloppy music" and such...if you don't like something why 1) spend your energy writing about something you hate and 2) cursing the world with your negativity when we certainly neither asked for nor require it.
For most bands releasing a collection of b-sides and demos on the heels of a ground-breaking album would be a career-ender. Lucky for us Kurt Cobain didn't care, because this is maybe the best example of what Nirvana was about. Some are fast (Mexican Seafood) some are slow (Big Long Now) and some are freakishly brilliant (Aneurysm). I don't know how anyone could be a "casual" Nirvana fan, so if you like any Nirvana songs get this cause you'll like this too. And they think this guy killed himself?...HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA good luck picking your nose on that much smack, let alone using a shotgun. Anyone who has done smack knows its impossible.
Free Music Review: INCESTICIDE still blows away all the derivative drivel

Have you worn out the grooves of your NEVERMIND CD? Do you recite MTV UNPLUGGED IN NEW YORK in your sleep? It's time to take a look at INCESTICIDE if you still haven't. True, this collection of out-takes and B-sides doesn't quite measure up to one of their "official" albums, but it is still quentessential Nirvana. It shows you different sides of Nirvana - including a warped sense of humor.Most of this rocks really hard. That's certainly true of the Meat Puppets nod "Son of a Gun," and the old school stomp of "Aero Zepplin." "Dive" is one of the best and kinda freaky the way Kurt sounds as if he's screaming "Die with me!" instead of "Dive with me!" Kurt really conveyed a lot not only with his lyrics but also his tortured guitar. Kurt's solos were expressive, anguished and incredible and that's apparent on this album.
You can definitely get your Nirvana on here. Blows away most bands who were influenced by grunge. That's not to say that there aren't tons of great bands out there who were influenced by Nirvana. But there's only one Nirvana.
