Free Music Notes for No ReservationsFree Music Review: Great Soundtrack Hit: 5 StarsWhen I was in the theater and saw that Philip Glass did the music for it, I was so excited.
His deep music brought another perspective and brought this movie up another level. Soundtracks are so important and this one definetly stuck out to me. I'm very glad he did some of the music for this. I can't wait to see what he's going to do next. Great movie, great music.
Free Music Review: re: Q below Hit: 5 StarsCrystal, regarding your question for the song that's playing while she is putting on her apron. It's actually from another soundtrack, Life as a House. It's track 11, "Building a Family". I also love this song! Hope this helps! :)
Free Music Review: Question Hit: 4 StarsI'm dying to know who composed the opening track just after the therapy truffle scene. When she first puts on her apron and we see her working in the kitchen
please can someone tell me if this was also phillip glass
?????
Free Music Review: Now it makes more sense... Hit: 4 StarsIt appears that some of the most memorable score cues from the movie are actually from Mark Isham's soundtrack "Life As A House" (Listen to track 11 from "Life As A House" for example.)
Now I'm beginning to understand why there seems to be such a paucity of score cues on this CD. I think either Glass' score was partially rejected or he only scored a small part of the movie to begin with.
Free Music Review: Where's my Philip Glass? Hit: 3 StarsThe other music on the cd is perfectly fine. It's good music actually, but I wanted more score. I was hoping the two score cues would be longer than they were.
Philip Glass only used a few motifs (three tops) in the movie...would it have been so hard to include all of them (as opposed to 1)?
Shame on Decca...unless they're planning on releasing a score-only CD.
Hope they do.
