2002'S all around acclaimed LP, 'The Future is Now' by the Non Phixion Crew (ILL BILL, Sabac Red & Goretex) is a criminally slept on gem- production cameos from Hip-Hop heavyweights The Large Professor, DJ Premier and Pete Rock; Necro and JuJu from the Beatnuts also contributing to the project; while still on the subject of production, these beats, I'm telling you, are straight up-n-down pure hip hop; even the most ignorant cat will feel these beats.
Lyrical content consists of drug induced conspiracy theories and pure anarchy amongst society. Rarely straying, lyrically, from unruly behavior-somehow, their subject matter never tires the listener; they continue to entice that side of the mind that wants to rebel against everyone and everything.
Guest spots are on point- the ever eccentric M.etal.F.ace DOOM lending a verse on 'Strange Universe'*Crew partner, Necro*The Beatnuts*Fear Factory's Christian Wolbers and Raymond Herrera and The Deftones' Stephen Carpenter doing guest instruments on the 'The C.I.A. is Still Trying to Kill Me Metal Remix'(Doing a rock track seems to be a staple amongst the crews albums and solo LP's as well)
This album is a must; it cannot be slept on any longer-highly recommended for the true hip-hop head.
