Free Music Review: THIS IS HOME CHILLOUT TIME!
Hit: 5 Stars

"Feels Like Home" the second delivery by Miss Jones is not a stranger to any who bought her jazzy debut album, she kept the escence of the first and made a new one with more innovative lyrics that don't dissapoint the listener. She works again with hit-maker producer Arif Mardin, and has some special guest like the country-legend Dolly Parton. Not that Jones it's known by her singles on the radio, but, her first cut to be release and promote "Sunrise" is delightful and lite, with the same chillout feeling that enchanted us the first time with "Don't Know Why", in conclution all the tracks will give you time to think, listen to the music, sleep, drink coffee, or simply study, it's a very versatile record, so all the tracks are easy to handle and in the same formula, the lyrics change, and some sound more country than jazz, but if I have to mention some stand out cuts will be : "Sunrise", "The Long Way Home", "Creepin' In.", "Don't Miss You at All,", overall this is a great record that could take your stress away.

Free Music Review: Great Follow-Up
Hit: 5 Stars

I have heard Norah Jones' second album "Feels Like Home" criticised for not being up to par with her debut album "Come Away With Me". While that may be true, this is still an amazing album. Besides how can someone be expected to match something as successful as Norah's debut?

Like I said, this is a great album. But don't assume that because you enjoyed "Come Away With Me" you will be an instant fan of "Feels Like Home" as well. While her debut was deeply rooted in jazz, her new album moved slightly away from that and more into country. It takes some getting used to, but in the end it is the same lovable, enchanting voice.

"Feels Like Home" displays a wide array of genres and moods, showcasing how talented Norah and The Handsome Band are. The first single from the album "Sunrise" is a light-hearted, jazzy tune while others such as the upbeat "Creepin' In" featuring Dolly Parton are much more country. There are also soft ballads such as "Humble Me". The different genres blend beautifully to create what I see as one of the must have albums this year.

Free Music Review: Norah keeps it beautiful
Hit: 5 Stars

Norah Jones continues to deliver beautiful music that sounds like it's being sung to you and you alone. The criticisms about the softness of her overall tone are depressing and aggravating. One artist need not embody every tone or mood. It's okay to slow dance once in a while. Sometimes it's nice to have a romantic whisper close to the ear. In a bombastic and plastic soundscape where we have Christina Aguilera jack-hammering our skulls, Hillary Duff singing bubble-gum double entendres ("Come Clean"), and Jessica Simpson crinkling her nose to a point where I fear I shall go mad, Norah Jones continues to be a breath of cool, sweet air. One comment about the cover, and it's more of an amused observation than a criticism. After the suggestive lyrics to "Don't Know Why" (...I didn't come), apparently the cover's designers decided to go for another method of suggestiveness by positioning the title "Feels Like Home" at the level/in the proximity of the lovely Ms. Jones'...er, chest. "Feels Like Home" indeed! But maybe that just indicates that Norah sings from the heart! :-)

Free Music Review: This CD is amazing! Other GREAT Norah CDs I just found too!
Hit: 5 Stars

I just got the new Norah Jones album, "Feels Like Home" and I have to say I really like it. I wasn't always a huge fan of hers at first but I heard the album was really good and worth the buy. I agree; I enjoyed it a lot. It's very relaxing and definitely a good CD to just throw on at work or while driving home and unwinding. My favorite track off the album is "Those Sweet Words." I liked the way the vocals and piano were in synch.....it reminded me a lot of "Don't Know Why," which I always liked hearing on the radio. A friend also lent me their copy of 2 other CDs that Norah was on (I had never even known they existed). I listened and LOVED those tracks as well. If anyone is interested, the other CDs are "New York City" and "Chance and Circumstance" (they are actually listed on Amazon if you search for "Norah"). My 2 favorites from those other CDs are "New York City" and "Heart of Mine." The jazz and blues style they had is amazing and I think I'm going to order a copy of them for my own CD collection as well. Feels Like Home is amazing!!!

Free Music Review: Better Than "Come Away with Me"
Hit: 5 Stars

This is definitely more mature than the first. "Feels Like Home" has taken off better with my ears than "Come Away with Me" did. It took me many months after purchasing her previous to really appreciate it. I always loved Norah's voice from the very beginning. But the songs took time getting used to.

"Feels Like Home" is breezier than its predecessor, which is delightful. It feels less like a textbook (required reading). Not as slow or tedious. The CD moves faster this time. As far as it needing more "edge" or "pizzazz," I'm not sure what that really means for her.

What still needs improvement: No songs that I would consider classic. Basically, no stunners. I haven't been blown away yet, but hoping in the near future. She needs to take it to the next level with her 3rd attempt.

Recommendations: Would consider a song or two on next CD by David Foster or Diane Warren. If not those, I would bring in some different writers and producers just for freshness.

My favorite song is "Carnival Town."
