Free Music Notes for Now And Then: Music From The Motion PictureFree Music Review: Brings back memories Hit: 5 Stars
A terrific collection of classic rock 'n' roll. I have never seen the movie so can't comment on that, but I bought this soundtrack because of the great songs. Who can't help but sing along to songs like these! Each and every one is pure joy. It certainly stirs up a lot of memories of my own childhood..each song I can associate to a different memory.."Sugar, Sugar", camping in Devon, "Knock three times", a school dance, "Band of Gold", hunting all the record stores trying to find the 45rpm, and so on; the memories come flooding back. Get this album...if you were a child during the 60's and 70's I am sure these songs will stir happy memories in you too.
Free Music Review: Groovy Music Hit: 5 Stars
This cd is like the best. it makes you want to live back in 1970 and forget about the present. my mother says that i was born in the wrong time period cuz i love these songs so much! i only listen to nowaday music when i have to. but at home in my room and in the car with my mom i listen to oldies music(memories 96.7) i even dress in 60's and 70's clothes. one of my favorite stores is goodwill, you may find that weird but i love to look and see if there are any 60's or 70's clothes for sale. but what i'm actually trying to say is that this cd is totally cool and i think everyone who is in love with the 70's like me should try it! thanx
Free Music Review: TOTALLY GROOVY! Hit: 5 Stars
I loved the movie and after I'd seen it for about the 1000 time i figured out why i like it so much-the music. i love all the songs on this cd and even though i'm not old enough to even know who the artists are i still luv it. me and my dad can just sing along in the car and luv it. everytime i hear the song, knock 3 times, i think of the girls in the movie riding their bikes and singing along. Now and then, makes me think of my friends and how much we've been through. Its the perfect cd for anyone who just wants to have a little fun!
Free Music Review: Lovely tunes... Hit: 5 Stars
I love this soundtrack. I never saw the film (it seemed like a coming of age/chick flick, which is always a bad sign), but I love the artists here. Sugar Sugar by The Archies, Hitchin' a Ride by Vanity Fare, and Band of Gold by Frenda Payne are all here. Oh, yeah, and Daydream Believer, a wonderful Jon Stewart tune performed by the wonderful Monkees. The rest of the songs are lovely, too. Picking this up is a lot cheaper than buying the songs seperately. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful...
Free Music Review: Great selection of 1970 music, and more. Hit: 5 Stars
A very good album, due to the selection of songs and a very good title song ("Now And Then") that I believe was made just for the movie. My only complaint is that a few of the songs selected date back to 1967 ("Daydream Believer") and 1969 ("Sugar, Sugar") when it appears the focus was supposed to be 1970, which is the year when the majority of these songs were released. The music, like the movie, really captured the feeling of youthful friendship in 1970.
