This is one of my favorite Christmas recordings. I have had the cassette tape for a long time and it was beginning to show signs of wear, so when I saw that it was available on CD from Amazon.com I ordered two copies right away. One for me, and one for my parents, who are big Pavarotti fans also. A friend gave me a gift of this album several years ago and while I am not a big fan of Christmas music albums generally, this one is special. I listen to it all the time--when I am feeling good, feeling sad, or need relaxation. Pavarotti's voice plus the Italian lyrics in the opera arias provide a wonderful listening experience. Pavarotti is in his prime for this one and the selections are both touching and grand. Mille Cherubini, a tender lullaby, is my favorite but his Agnus Dei is rich and grand. The choral backgrounds are also very good. I bought the cassette when it came out in the 70's and I am thrilled that they reissued it as CD to grace my 2007 Christmas .Free Music Review: Christmas with Pavarotti

I Listened to this the day I received it...wonderful sound, I especially like his "O Holy Night" and "Adeste Fideles"...and of course "Panis Angelicus"...some persons have mentioned him & Mario Lanza...Mario was good but Luciano is/was the greatest !Free Music Review: An awesome musical experience

I believe that Luciano far exceeded Caruso. His voice reached out to everyone, except for that unfortunate foray into the "Georgio" film.
He presented his music with a marvelous flair for detail. We shall miss him, so much.
