Free Music Notes for Kill Bill: Volume 1

Free Music Review: A Highly Enjoyable Listen
Hit: 5 Stars

Ever since I got this soundtrack, I've been pretty much listening to it as much as I can. The mood of the soundtrack goes along with the film very well, and I really enjoy it. Sadly, some songs I enjoy are not on the soundtrack (Such as 'From Man To Man' by Ennio Morricone and 'Nobody But Me' by The Human Beinz). But thankfully I downloaded them and put them onto my MD Player.

If you are a fan of Tarantino soundtracks, you may enjoy this one. I enjoy most of the soundtrack, but there are some songs I do not care for.

Favorite Tracks:
* The Grand Duel-(Parte Prima) (Luis Bacalov)
* Nobody But Me* (The Human Beinz)
* Run Fay Run (Isaac Hayes)
* The Lonely Shepard (Zamfir)
* Green Hornet (Al Hirt)
* Battle Without Honor Or Humanity (Tomoyasu Hotei)
* The Flower Of Carnage (Meiko Kaji)
* Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (Santa Esmeralda)
* Twisted Nerve (Bernard Hermann)
* Seven Notes In Black* (Vince Tempera)
* Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) (Nancy Sinatra)
* Long Day Of Vengeance* (Armando Travajoli)
* From Man To Man (Death Rides A Horse)* (Ennio Morricone)
* Urami-Bushi* (Meiko Kaji)

Least Favorite Tracks:
* Ode To O-Ren (Annoying rap song by The RZA)
* Any SFX Track (Hidden)
* Queen Of The Crime Council (Dialogue Snippet)
* You're My Wicked Life (Dialogue Snippet)
* Woo Hoo (The 5.6.7.8.'s) (Sounds better in the film)
* Ironside (Quincy Jones) (Doesn't fit the mood of the soundtrack IMO)

* Means Not On OST

Overall, a nice collection of songs. if you enjoy the film, I bet you will also enjoy the soundtrack.

Free Music Review: One Word --- Outstanding!
Hit: 5 Stars

The movie is good, but the soundtrack is terrific outstanding! The carefulness and cleverness to use of various songs and music for this movie are truly amazing. This soundtrack drives audiences to the right mood, the right tone, and the right atmosphere. It really takes you to immerse into the story, to feel the atmosphere, and to sample the bride's feelings. Like the song "Bang Bang (My baby shut me down)" sets you up the exact tone of the bride's sadness. And the "Twisted Nerve" builds an anchor into the audience mind. Whenever hearing whispering, you will think of the nurse coming to kill the Bride in the hospital. Other songs and music like "Run Fay Run", "Green Hornet", "Battle Without Honor or Humanity", and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" vividly lead you to the peak of your emotion along with the fighting scenes in the movie. Last but not least, the Japanese song "The Flower Carnage" sadly ends the life of O-Ren who got killed by the Bride in the Crazy-88 battle.

I haven't seen such a real outstanding soundtrack for a long while. This is a no doubt FIVE-STAR TWO-THUMBS-UP quality. Besides the music, the soundtrack CD comes with couple bonus video clips from the Kill Bill vol.1 movie as well. Overall, highly recommend!

Free Music Review: Absolutely Great
Hit: 5 Stars

From the opening somber melody of Bang Bang to the closing Flower of Carnage Kill Bill Vol. 1 is a terrific CD that will be totally worth your buy. the mood of the film is captured so perfectly in this ensemble of artists. if you see the film after listening to the soundtrack you will be saying to yourself "wow this totally fits in, it sets the mood"

nancy sinatras bang bang is so quiet yet so pwerful and resounding. charlie feathers Johnny Cash attitude in the next track gives off a cool vibe.

along with the songs there are so many instrumental pieces which sound so beautiful. the final lost sheperd is a flute piece that is astounding in how musically rich it is. and battle without honor or humanity has a perfect track to remember the film by with the sames fast and slow paces the films have.

these are but a few descritions of the CD you have to listen to it a couple of times first to fully appreciate. there are songs you will remember but realize you love and there will be songs you never heard before which you will never want to stop playing

a specific genre for this CD can't be found because no word describes the richness or diversity this soundtrack has. for a different sound of music buy this cd. you will not regret it

Free Music Review: You won't be dissapointed....must have
Hit: 5 Stars

If you've seen the movie and enjoyed it for the revenge/action flick it is, then the soundtrack will not disappoint. This is a great soundtrack, almost all of the great songs from the movie, including the original songs. I like all the tracks except for one (Ode to Oren Ishii). There is also great mix of genres on this album too. And as an added bonus the soundtrack is enhanced for computers, it includes all the full trailers for the movie.

Kill Bill: The Original Soundtrack is an achievement of great proportions. Whether you're making the always wise purchase to pick up a Tarantino based movie soundtrack or you're just in for some hip, less mainstream, qualities, and musical delight. Either way, pick it up. I cannot stress enough that this isn't for everyone due to the wild sounds and grooving emotions are for the selected few. Overall, I absolutely loved the soundtrack, and even if you haven't seen the movie, you should still think about getting it. For the fans of this movie, Kill Bill Vol. 1 is worth having.
