Free Music Notes for Kill Bill: Volume 1Free Music Review: Best Soundtrack of the Year! Hit: 5 Stars
I saw Kill Bill last night, and the movie directed by Quentin Tarantino was a modern masterpiece. The visual effects were awesome, and the way that the story played out was unbelievable. But something aside from those aspects was the music, which grabbed me and wouldn't let go. There were so many varieties on the soundtrack, from techno-pumpin themes, to punk music, to quiet flute harmonies. Some of the music was even done by Wu Tang Clan's RZA, and he did an exceptional job on orchestral pieces for a rap artist. No rap artist has done this well on a soundtrack since Eminem did on the 8 Mile soundtrack, which is another terrific soundtrack. The best song on the album is Nancy Sinatra's contribution, played at the vey beginning of the movie. It has an edgy, soft rock sound to it, and I loved it. Overall, I absolutely loved the soundtrack, and even if you haven't seen the movie, you should still think about getting it. But for any fan of the terrific movie, Kill Bill Vol. 1, this is a must-have item!
Free Music Review: nothing more than brilliance!!!! the RZA rocks!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
KILL BILL VOL. 1 sdtk is well done.... each song is great and he arrangement in each song is estounding... the RZA (from the Wu Tang Clan) is a great producer...
my favourite song on the sdtk is "don't let me be misunderstood"... this song went perfect with O'ren and the bride in the snow... this fight scene was just tight overall... i just wish this song was not 10:31 long!!!! but i do love the instrumental break and they really get down...
"ironside" gives me chills everytime i hear it... even when i watch it on the KILL BILL movies i just feel 'the bride' on getting her revenge and her pain... Quincy Jones did that!!!!! now when i get mad at people i play this clip and they know im mad as hell...
overall this sdtk, the movie, and everything is just estounding and by far this is the best movie i have ever seen....EVER!!!! i have never seen a movie and heard a soundtrack that changed my life...
5+++++++++ stars
Free Music Review: So Fun - Especially If You're a Fan of the Film Hit: 5 Stars
If you've seen "Kill Bill, Vol. 1" you've gotta know that the music in the movie is amazing. This soundtrack is so fun - especially if you're a fan of the film. I don't know if I would recommend this CD to everybody because most of this CD is instrumental and might be boring for some. But if you love the movie and/or love the music in it, this LP is so worth it. "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down" by Nancy Sinatra is the 1st song played in the movie and 1st track on this CD. It's such a good song, lyrically and vocally. My other favourites include "Twisted Nerve" - played when Elle Driver walks down the hallway of the hospital - "Woo Hoo" by the 5.6.7.8's, and Santa Esmeralda's "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". My favourite part of the CD are the quotes taken from the movie and put into the CD ("Queen of the Crime Council" & "You're My Wicked Life"), I only wish there were more.
Free Music Review: classic Hit: 5 Stars
Tarantino once said he loved Vanilla Ice. I always thought it was an inside joke, because like Ice, Tarantino became famous as much for material borrowed, as created.
In 10 years, people will not even know what Tarantino was referring to in Pulp Fiction, what he was paying meticulous homage to in Kill Bill. His 'source material', will be forgotten. What a pleasure it is though, in Kill Bill, to cite his references, and recognize the feel of this film from 70s b-movies and 'exploitation' films.
The plot and characters, are in service of style. In this way too, Tarantino closely follows his idol Depalma, who stole from Hitchcock in an almost fetishlike obsession, just as QT steals from everyone else. Like Depalma, in say Dressed to Kill, all elements of story, are mere slaves to the dual gods of technique and image. In this, Kill Bill is stunningly successful.
Free Music Review: HOTTEST TRACKS SINCE THE MATRIX trilogy Hit: 5 Stars
I spent about 3 hours downloading the soundtrack from Kazaa, since I would never be crazy enoug to spend $10 on an album, and I must say this SOUNDTRACK IS LITTERED WITH COOLNESS.The best tracks in my opinion in order are: Green hornet Battle without Honor or humanity and last but not least the Japanese vocal songs. My only complaint is that the major songs aren't long enough, not long as the Japanese ones. Since I don't speak Japanese they don't mean much to me. Too bad there was no translation. I cant imagine driving in my SUV listening to this stuff or blasting it from my sound system so I think it is a more enjoyable soundtrack with a DVD instead of CD becauseI'd rather watch the action. Still this is a GROOVY soundtrack that is as cool as the movie itself. Which reminds me, I'm still waiting for volume 2
