When I first discovered this CD was for sale, I cried. When I first listened to it-not having any idea what they'd put on here from the show, the most beautiful music started up and then "Vincent" started reading the poetry that he read to Catherine and that made me fall in love with his character -eventually, well, the tears just quietly flowed from my eyes, surprised me! I wasnt aware of crying till the tears flowed from the pure beauty of the sounds from this CD. All these years later, I still treasure and love this CD above all my others, it gives you a sense of peace too and the poems bring understanding of true love. I highly recommend it!! (dont let the flowery sentimental review deter you-I really believe most who love beautiful music will love this).Free Music Review: One of My Cherished Possessions!

I brought this soundtrack back when it was only offered as a vinyl album. Now I got the CD and listening to it brings back the episode the music and poetry was from. This cd just makes your heart sing, puts a smile on your face, causes you to blush at times ('I only have relinquished one delight To live beneath your more habitual sway'). Romance don't get better than that!
I was fortunate enough to record the complete series when it aired, but now, I WANT MY BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ON DVD!

I have found the complete Beauty and the Beast Series on DVD, BUT, I am skeptical about ordering it from Canada. I only trust and buy from Amazon.com, which has an awesome reputation!

I had the soundtrack from the TV show in LP form and was thrilled to see that you had it on CD. The quality of the sound was fabulous. Ron Pearlman (beast) was even more amazing in his reading of poetry on the CD. It was spellbinding. You could close your eyes and and be transported to below the city as Catherine was and feel you were there in person listening to Vincent. I had fogotten how beautiful the soundtrack and readings were until I listened to the CD for the first time in at least 12 years. Thank you so much!!!! I will be ordering the DVD's from the 3 seasons. Also may I say I have always been impressed with Amazon's quality of products, merchants and customer service. If you loved Beauty & the Beast the series you will love this CD. I was lucky enough to find this album on CD in a comic shoppe, when I was 10 0r 11; out of love of the series I bought it at once. Like many others who own this I have worn my copy out and must buy it again. The best thing about this CD is that you don't have to be a fan of the show to enjoy it. If you like poetry, or classical, or romantic music. Or your in the market for somthing that will help you relax,Ron Pealman's voice will transport you to another world. The music will touch your heart. In short it doesn't get any better then this. Fan of the show or not, treat yourself to an experience you won't forget.

Being a big Beauty and Beast Fan back in the 80's, I remember buying this when it was orginally released. I enjoyed it very much then, but over the years my cassette collection was replaced by CD's and I lost it along the way. I ordered it recently and just love listening to it. The poetry is so beautiful and Ron Perlman's voice is restful and full of warmth and depth. His reading and inflection is incredible. Being 20 years older I find that the poetry has more meaning to me now than they did then. The music also is quite lovely and relaxing, pulling you into another world. If you enjoy classic literature, along with beautiful dramatic music I think you would truly love this CD.
