Free Music Notes for Office Space: The Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: UMMMMM YEAAAH Hit: 4 Stars
When one gets up to go to work what do you say to your self, I HATE MY JOB. That is why this film is perfect for you, but the soundtrack falls a little short. As I was saying about hateing your job my man CANIBUS does a great job of conferting the film into a song, with "Shove this J.O.B.". He comes across perfectlly with lines like "if your boss is an s.o.b. tell him to s.h.o.v.e. the j.o.b." Another song taking a page from the past and also from the film is Lisa Stone's "9-5". All thow this is a remake it fits perfect with the film. Then one will come across maybe the best track on here in The Geto Boys "Dawm it Feels Good to be a Gangsta". I can never imagine some one saying they did not like this song. The beat alone can make all the trouble in your life seem to flout away. The lyrics keep it gangsta while the beat lets you chill. The Geto Boys show up again witha song that is good but is easily out shined by the preavious, "Still". This is a vicious song not ment for the weak, and Scarface of The Geto Boys shows up solo with "No Tears". This song could make even a child think, you hear this song on the film right at the begining in a car. Still with all the rest of the songs being decent, only one more is note worthy, "Down for Whatever" by Ice Cube". This one of Cube's early hardcore tracks. If he could deliver like this all the time, man. All together "OFFICE SPACE" is a worthy album for purchase.
Free Music Review: Pencil-pushers of the world unite! Hit: 4 Stars
I could've cried while watching "Office Space." When I wasn't laughing myself hoarse, I was reliving my daily despair through the poor souls onscreen. Using hard-core rap to express the frustration and anger of these STAGGERINGLY non-black characters is the perfect touch. As to the tunes themselves: the soundtrack works about 75% of the time. "Big Boss Man" and "9-5" don't do a lot for me. "Down for Whatever" makes the scene when used in the film. Mike Judge was smart enough not to just make fun of white guys listening to rap; he used rap to convey how badly these cubicle-bound saps want to break out of their lives. Geto Boys' "Still" is, well, a pretty hostile track. You'll get whiplash the first time going from "Still" to Perez Prado's jubilant "Mambo #8." My fondest wish for all you good citizens out there is that the soundtrack will cause you to rent the film. Call in sick to work, line up ten beers in front of you and enjoy the great cathartic document of corporate angst which is "Office Space."
Free Music Review: Spiced up the movie! Hit: 4 Stars
When I was about to watch Office Space, I was estimating that the movies music would just be a score. Man, was I wrong. The music first enters at the beginning of the movie, which as the movie went on, became more and more like the movie. What was the genre? Rap. Hip Hop. Yep. A movie about office nerds, you would expect something different. Well well, aint it a surprize? The music is great, especialy "Damn it feels good to be a Gangsta" which is a song that me and my friend Garret listen to, and love it.My Advice to you: SEE THE MOVIE FIRST. The soundtrack means nothing to you if you didnt see the film. Office Space is a laugh out loud comedy that popular person and nerd can enjoy. Any type of person will accept the movie and music which are both outstanding.
Free Music Review: a must for Office Space fans Hit: 4 Stars
There are 7 songs on the soundtrack that stand out in the movie and you will immediately recognize them. The others not so much. Good vehicle for getting those 7 songs all together. Perez Prado is awesome, really enjoyed Mamba #8 and Peanut Vendor. The rest of the gang is there too. Not too expensive, a good companion to the movie.
Free Music Review: I find this recording to be quite deadly Hit: 4 Stars
Man, this cd kicks @**!!! I just love how Kool keith finally gets some attention. I think the music for this film was very well chosen, and that the different tracks fit the scenes. If you liked the movie (who didnt?) then you should definately order this cd. P.S. METALLICA RULEZ!!!
