Free Music Review: The first GREAT CD of 2001

This is a really, really good CD. Equal parts classic british pop and rootsy rock, with smart lyrics, good arrangement and production, and melodies you can not get out of your head. My favorite song seems to change every week, but I'm really stuck on "Designs on You" and "Up the Devil's Pay" right now. "Rollerskate Skinny" never gets old either. I gave each song on the CD an letter grade on the traditional high school scale, then calculated an average where a 4.0 is an A, 3.0 is a B, 2.0 is a C, and so on. Not a perfect system, but it works.
On that scale, I rate Satellite Rides: 3.5!!
