Free Music Review: A MUST HAVE for us Olivia Newton-John FANS

When I first saw Olivia Newton-John in the early 70's,my heart almost broke.I never saw a more beutifull women,and when I heard her voice,she HAD ME,I was a fan.
I love this collection of Hits,there's only one song that I wish was included,her duet with John Denver,"Fly Away,"but I guess it wasn't that big of a hit.
I hope we hear more from this STILL TALENTED BEUTIFULL STAR!!!

I realise this new compilation is part of the Gold series, but looking at a number of the tracks here, many of them were not major hits at all. In fact, many are largerly unknown even in her native Australia. Valuable space has been wasted with songs like "Living in Desperate Times" and "Fool Country" where great classics like "Amoreuse" and "If we Try" could have been placed. If you really love Olivia as much as most, your best bet is to buy her three Australian Greatest Hits compilations (Volume 1, 2 & 3). That way you get Livvy's most impressive tracklist.Free Music Review: A Olivia Newton-John fan is back!

I always knew that I was a Olivia Newton-John fan but when I bought this CD Gold it was confirmed! An excellent pick of songs from listening to the popular ones to the ones I listened- to. To name a few:If Not For You, Every Face Tells A Story, Something Better To Do. I'm glad the song The Best of Me is on this CD. I love that song! I was happy to hear and see that Livin'In Desperate Times, The Rumour, Totally Hot, and others are on this CD. I forgot that I enjoyed If Not For You, Banks of The Ohio and Let It Shine. I have been a big fan since the mid to early 70's. I have all her albums but on record. Listening to these songs brings back memories and happiness. I know this sounds mushy but these feelings are true. If you are a big Olivia Newton-John fan and want to hear these songs I recommend this CD. This CD doesn't stay in my CD rack. Very good double Cd with a lot of songs (41). All of her hits are here from her early country girl days through Grease and beyond. I even found a few new songs to like.Free Music Review: Greatest hits PLUS a hidden treasure!!

As many others detail, this CD set has Olivia's best known tracks, biggest hits, and some excellent album cuts. But no one else has seemed to notice the SUPER RARE track that must have been added for hard-core Olivia fans like myself.
The last track on the first disk is "Fool Country." This was previously only available as a B-side on a "45" of the single "Magic". It's a song from the movie Xanadu that was left off the soundtrack album, and is appearing on CD for the first time here. It's not a classic, like "Magic" or "Your The One That I Want," but it's fun, interesting and an awesome inclusion for completing collections.
So, I have every single Olivia Newton John album ever released, AND I bought this one too. That's pretty high praise for a greatest hits package!
