Free Music Review: On the right track to pure pop perfection

The new comedy "On The Line" will no doubt strike a chord with *Nsync fans, after all two of the members (Lance Bass and Joey Fatone)are the lead actors and the soundtrack will no doubt go down well also as it offers some of the hottest offerings from some of today's hottest performers. Opening the soundtrack is the track "On The Line" performed by the On The Line all stars (which is made up of *Nsync-ers Lance and Joey, plus Mandy Moore, BBmak member Christian Burns and True Vibe). The track is a delightful slice of Top 40 style pop and is the perfect way to open this masterpiece up. Following is the *Nsync pop tune "That Girl (Will Never Be Mine)", one of the bonus tracks on "Celebrity", and one of this album's finest moments. Trickside's "Under You" has the same style as a Sugar Ray number giving it that much more appeal and BBMak's Don't Look Down" is bathed in the same style that made the Backstreet Boys' "Shape Of My Heart" that enjoyable. From here Al Green changes the pace with his disco style blues tune "Let's Stay Together" as does Britney Spears, who offers some new flavour thanks to her new tune "Let Me Be". This urban style groove is one of this album's highlights and it is also one of the new tracks found on her much anticipated new album "Britney". *Nsync pop up once again, this time with the mid-tempo ballad "Falling", which doesn't break any new ground but still manages to be utterly enjoyable. Vitamin C offers new unique sound with the cute and funky "Do You C What I C?", before *Nsync member Joey Fatone, who barely ever gets the chance to express his vocals in the group, rocks on in the contemporary pop stylings of "Ready To Fall". The tracks that follow are probably the weakest, Jessica Folker's "To Be Able To Love" and Melissa Lefton's "My Hit Song". Folker has her tune remixed by Jonathan Peters, giving it a more upbeat backbeat, but it can't be saved from weak lyrics and vocals whilst Lefton's song is verging on Daphne and Celeste type lyrics with a Hoku feel. Picking the album up from it's slow patch is pop star Robyn, whose tune "Say You'll Walk The Distance" is a cool, slick and sexy production laced with the same essence Samantha Mumba brings to her tunes and Richie Sambora's Bon Jovi style pop/rock offering "Take Me On". US R&B trio Blaque, last heard on the Bring It On soundtrack, slow the pace down with the sexy urban ballad "Can't Trust Myself" before Meredith Edwards finishes off with the mellow "Ready To Fall". With thirteen hot tracks and two fillers this pop Soundtrack is definitely a must have, so get in line to get your copy now.
