Free Music Notes for Back Tuva FutureFree Music Review: An adventure in sound. Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is a strange mix of Tuvan throat-singing, country music, and plenty else thrown into the pot. It is adventurous and fun. Be sure and listen for the "hidden track" at the very end, it has some interesting information on how the CD was made.
Free Music Review: Really good stuff Hit: 5 Stars
Purists who want their throat singing straight are going to hate it (or least look down their noses at it), but for the rest of us Back Tuva Future is great fun. Really catchy, tuneful and haunting in a exotic but never in accessible way. Good!
Free Music Review: Incredible! Hit: 5 Stars
A truly wonderful fusion of traditional Tuva throat singing and various American music forms. It's amazing how naturally Ondar's vocalizations fit with Bush and Scaggs bluegrass. I've made everyone I know listen to this one.
Free Music Review: fascinating and mentally energizing Hit: 5 Stars
I first herd this music while on a country road heading toward work. I was so excited by the throat singing, I deliberately tarried, refused to go to work before the NPR broadcast featuring this album ended. What a delight.
Free Music Review: THIS ALBUM IS BRILLIANT! , needs to be brought to the stage. Hit: 5 Stars
What a fascinating album. It is truly extraordinary. It screams to be brought to life on the stage. The music is much more interesting than Cirque or Riverdance. This is a must buy for any intelligient music listener.
