this album is opeths best even thou all of there albums kick assthe cd is made up of 5 songs that are no less than 10 minutes long...my two faverite songs are The Night And The Silent Water which is my faverite opeth song Mikaels voice and lyrics in this song are brillant he wrote this song when his grandfather passed away and the lyrics are very serious..my other faverite is Black Rose Immortal the longest opeth song...i love the solo at the end it comes out of no where and the acoustic parts are beutiful and its full of awsome riffs and drums

Opeth delivers again with more incredibly beautiful music
that absorbs you entirely. very long songs on this album so don't be decieved by the number of tracks because not any one is less than 10 minutes long.
No other band can make beautiful heavy music and very calm soothing music in the same album and sound as incredible as they do.

This is probably my favorite metal album. The first two Opeth albums really accentuate counterpoint guitars, which is one of the most beautiful styles of play there is. I have never heard another band do it as well as Opeth, and Morningrise is their finest example. Song 2 is breathtaking.Free Music Review: Black Rose Immortal

Black Rose Immortal is one of if not the best songs ever. The slower parts remind me a little of Pink Floyd. Opeth is the best band in this type of genre. Many have tried to emulate there style and failed. I highly recommend this album.Free Music Review: morningrise

every song on here is excellent. to me, there is no average song on this cd and the bass guitar is the best i have ever heard. i wish this bassist had stayed with opeth. get this cd now. Nectar is my favorite song on here.
