A beautiful album, with mind-bending riffs, and a stunning combination of clean and death vocals. Opeth have really demonstrated some ability, here. Impressive!Free Music Review: Nice addition for Opeth fans

I felt this album didn't match up to Opeth's latest, "Ghost Reveries." That said, this album is closer to it than any other of Opeth's. It's very hard and fast-paced, but it still has it's slow, light (and still incredibly emotional) moments.
My main problem with this album is I often notice a lot of the melodies sound similar, and they're simply not that rememberable. Nevertheless it's still a nice addition to an Opeth fan's collection--I put it in every once in a while.
If you're a big fan of mainstream music, this might be the best album to start off on. However, if you want to be WOWed, get their most ingenius, melodical, aggressive, emotional album yet--Ghost Reveries.
