I love this musical! I enjoyed the movie for the children, but the additions to the musical score are fabulous. I feel like a child again as I experience the adventure of the of Ariel, Scuttle, Flounder, Sebastian, Ursula and the entire cast of characters. The entire cast has such amazing voices, I immediately love the song they're singing. Ursula has such an incredible voice I wonder why she wants Ariels, but I know it's part of the story line. I appreciate the talents of Howard Ashman, Alan Menken and Glenn Slater with the creative music; what a joy! I love how they have expanded the story in music. I'm sold! For the young at heart, children and musical lovers in general, this is one musical you want to have in your collection!Free Music Review: Stunning. Absolutely stunning.

I recently saw The Little Mermaid on Broadway, and I purchased this soundtrack at the show.
The show was absolutely AMAZING. I actually cried in it. If you can, go see it, immediately.
Sierra is incredible as Ariel, she is perfect. The sets are just unbelievable and I love little flounder!
I agree with other reviewers--Scuttle's songs were forgettable and didn't add to the musical at all, and Ursula wasn't the best. But overall, the play and soundtrack are magnificent!

I absolutely love this soundtrack. I saw the musical in New York in early April and fell in love. I was a little skeptical because I am such a huge fan of the Disney movies, but the play blew me out of the water! :) I had to have the soundtrack, so I bought it ASAP. The singers are incredibly talented. The soundtrack may be a little hard to follow if you have not seen the Broadway show, because the plot is changed a little to accomidate for the stage. I would definitely recommend it for any Disney fan.Free Music Review: Just gets better and better

When I first saw the animated movie The Litthe Mermaid I was hooked!! It has been my favourite ever since, and hearing all these new and wonderful songs the musical edition has brought along with it just makes it even more wonderful!! I wish I could just hop on a plane and go to Broadway to see the musical in its full!! But this cd takes me pretty close!! So I can only recomed it to all of you out there who loves Disney and who loves musicals!!Free Music Review: A wonderful show

Disney really made a mistake by closing "The Little Mermaid" on Broadway. During the opening number, I knew that this was going to be a fabulous show. The second I got home from NYC I ordered the soundtrack. It's all I've been listening to for the past month. I really hope Disney takes this show on tour. I'd love to see it again. Especially now that I can sing along to all of the fabulous new songs that were added from the movie version!
