Free Music Notes for Stubbs The Zombie: The SoundtrackFree Music Review: Very Well Done!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not a fan of any of the bands featured on this soundtrack but I must admit they did a good job at covering these 50's classics. "Earth Angel", "Lollipop" and "Mr. Sandman" are just some of the standouts. Classic songs with an updated touch. Buy it!!
Free Music Review: The soundtrack is like the game... it Rocks ! Hit: 5 Stars
We all know the Xbox game Stubbs the zombie rocked well the games cd soundtrack is the same. Great oldies songs remade by some good bands. plus the living dead song is really cool. So do the right thing... get the soundtrack.
Free Music Review: Insanely groovy Hit: 5 Stars
Its wild when a video game's music expands to this point. This is very cool cover album of 50s era songs. The Flaming Lips, Death Cab For Cutie, Cake, Ben Kweller, and Phantom Planet are all in top form.
Free Music Review: Just one thing missing!! Hit: 4 Stars
I love this cd and think that the music was reanimated (another undead joke) perfectly. However I also agree with the last review
about people not having actually played this game.
While this is supposed to be a soundtrack to the game,it does not truely include all the music from it.What am I talking about?Just ask any gamer;the barbershop quartet songs!
I was really hoping that those would have been included. Especialy from the last level "So slow and painful, that's how you're going to die! A celebration of amputation"All of that is the meat of Stubbs.Granted the barbershop quartet songs are not the most practical to max up the volume to in your car,but then again is "Lollypop" really?
Also the end credits theme would have been nice as well as Otis Monday's buddy,"huh I got a plate in ma head" banjo tune.Still it's very cool, and if you haven't played or at least checked out the game, then do so already!Stubbs rocks!
Free Music Review: i want to be a zombie Hit: 4 Stars
Wow, it's amazing what you'll find in clearance bins at record stores. I was browsing cds yesterday and came across this soundtrack. I'm a fan of oldies and when I saw the titles that were being covered, by the bands that were covering them, I knew I had to pick this up. This is easily one of the best cover albums I've heard. My favorite tracks are Lollipop, My Boyfriend's Back, Mr. Sandman, and Tears on My Pillow. I've never even heard of the video game but now I want to play it! Buy this if you're a fan of classic 50's & 60's or indie rock. Plus, you know this has to be good if it's put out by SHOUT factory. They released my beloved Freaks & Geeks dvd boxed set :)
