Free Music Notes for Across The Universe [Deluxe Edition]Free Music Review: Good soundtrack Hit: 4 StarsSaw the movie and enjoyed the soundtrack. Decided to buy the CD, which has not disappointed. Some really solid tracks and all in all a very strong rendition of a wide cross section of Beatles songs.
Free Music Review: The Amazing Beatles Hit: 5 Stars The soundtract itself is great, with almost all of the songs on there (unfortunatly "I Want You (Shes So Heavy)" is not on there, but pretty much everything else is!) I heard the real version of "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite" the other day and its really different, but the young people on this soundtract (especially Jim Sturgess) are amazing!! and are able to pull off all those great Beatles songs. I got the soundtract and the dvd at the same time (and very quickly I might add) and its great to watch the movie, and then listen to all the amazing songs. Definately for any Beatles lover!!
Free Music Review: Wonderful Hit: 5 StarsIf you loved the movie as much as I did you will love the soundtrack. My only complaint is my own fault, as these songs were re-recorded so some of them sound a little different that in the movie. Like the "Hold Me Tight" song is all Evan Rachel Wood instead of singing it along with Jude's girlfriend like in the movie.
Free Music Review: Excellent covers Hit: 4 StarsExcellent movie! Excellent Soundtrack! The entire cast did a tremendous job with these classic Beetles tunes. They took the songs and made them personal. SUPERB renditions of "Let it Be","Come Together",Stawberry Fields".
Free Music Review: Concise and nearly complete Hit: 5 StarsDespite the constant banter and bickering about the Motion Picture versions destroying the originals, these hold to their own soul, texture, and style. Jim Sturgess delivers smooth vocals that is fairly comparable to Paul McCartney but makes it his own. Evan Rachel Wood's haunting vocals breathe new life into songs like "Blackbird" and "If fell." Joe Anderson redefines such classics like "I Want You" and "Hey, Jude." With Dana Fuchs and Martin Luther's powerful vocals reigniting "Oh! Darlin" and "Helter Skelter" this album is a must for anyone who thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and for any Beatles fan willing to give it a chance. Taking it from a Beatles fan, you shouldn't be disappointed.
