Free Music Notes for Death ProofFree Music Review: Mediocre Ride! Hit: 3 StarsThere are one or two songs, maybe three but overall this is a mediocre ride. I must been really high when I saw the movie and decided to order the soundtrack. The first song, Baby it's you by Smith is so poorly recorded it takes some of the magic. Everyone seemed to be praising this soundtrack and like I mentioned above I must have been really out there to follow the hype and the great compliments this soundtrack received. I bought, paid real dollars for it and my conclusion after listening to it twice is: Not Worth the Ride, Nothing to Ride home about it. Some of the songs are cool, I liked Staggolee by Pacific Gas & Electric, of course Jeepster by T Rex is okey but we all know that one has been heard and heard...Down in Mexico I enjoyed and of course, Willie De Ville (are Willie and Mink Deville the same person? they do sound the same). The point is: This is no Killer Soundtrack, it works ten times better with the movie to go along. So I am out of the price of admission and that is the price one have to pay when buying a new CD. From the reviews one would expect one Hell of a Ride instead all I got was one Mediocre Ride! 3 Stars for Death Proof and that is all.
Free Music Review: Tarantino does it again... Hit: 5 StarsI am an avid Tarantino fan, so it's only natural that I would love this movie. Death Proof is classic Tarantino at it's finest! Loads of intriguing and entertaining dialogue, strong and beautiful women, creepy homicidal men still loaded with charm, and quick, brutal action scenes. Plus the cars in the chase scenes! Gorgeous, simply gorgeous!
Free Music Review: His worst best of movie Hit: 1 Starsput together create a mood without visuals . Maybe it will work With the Movie of which i am sure it will ...
Free Music Review: Great Soundtrack! It's a Must Buy! Hit: 4 StarsWhatever your feelings regarding the film "Deathproof", it's already more than obvious that the soundtrack to this film is superb.
Even while watching the movie I was impressed by how much I enjoyed the quality of the music in the film. What they chose to include seemed to fit the mood and feel of this movie perfectly.
I was like "man I getta get this soundtrack!" and very few movie scores really move me say that. Also usually as a rule I don't buy many soundtracks to movies.
This is by far and wide a superior soundtrack than "Planet Terror" for sure, no doubt about it. Odds are most of you liked "Planet Terror" better than the movie "Deathproof" But "Deathproof" evens things out by having the better soundtrack of the two by miles. At least I think so, hopefully you do too.
Free Music Review: super sick Hit: 5 StarsThis soundtrack is practically perfect. One can listen to it over and over, without ever getting tired of the songs, specifically because the artists are so varied and heterogeneous. Tarantino's finely tuned ear is responsible for this flawless collection of songs. We'd been exposed to the musical style Tarantino favors in his previous films; that is, retro music, from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Deathproof was no exception, where Tarantino drew from Jack Nitzsche and T.Rex alike. DDDBM&T's sixties song "Hold Tight" is delightfully addicting, while April March's much more recent memorable cover of "Chick Habit" is instantly identifiable with the film. All in all, I'd have to recommend this as a perfect soundtrack to an absolutely fabulous film!
