"The Last of the Mohicans" soundtrack contains some of the best music of any film in recent memory, and along comes this box set to give us more. Because of the lack of information about this product on the web, I'll fill you in.
CD 1 is simply "The Last of the Mohicans" score. Everyone already has it and has reviewed it. It's a very moving spiritual score and I rarely go a week without hearing a few of its tracks on my Ipod. Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman at their very best.
The other two CDs contain music that - according to the book jacket - is "Inspired by the Deep Spirit of Native Americas." For instance, Yeha - Noha by Sacred Spirits, a tune that is on the Pure Moods compilation CD. Anyone who really likes the original soundtrack will enjoy the other two CDs, and may even recognize some of the harmonies from other compilations.
If you don't have the original score and are planning on buying it, you might as well dish out the $30 on this import (UPDATE: Well, it WAS $30 for several months - and that was the regular price, not a 'discount').
