Free Music Notes for Sex And The City: Music From the Original Motion PictureFree Music Review: Overall A Strong Soundtrack Hit: 4 Stars
Like most soundtracks I've heard in the past, this one has a very diverse collection of songs and artists. My favorite track on the album has to be India Arie's take on "The Heart of the Matter" with How Can you Mend A Broken Heart with Al Green and Joss Stone. The overall sound of the album reminds me of the lighthearted, whimsical feeling I get when watching the TV show. Having not seen the movie (YET!) I look forward to seeing how these songs tie into the plot of the movie. Overall, a strong album that will no doubtedly raise your spirits!
Free Music Review: Great Music! Hit: 4 Stars
I've listened to this cd in the car every day now since I got it and I love it! India Arie's "Heart of the Matter" is my favorite, then "How Deep is your Love". Even "Auld Lang Syne" is nice although that song always makes me weepy and even more so when I here this beautiful rendition because it reminds me of that part in the movie which was really touching. I skip over the SATC theme song and Fergie's song but otherwise the cd is great!
Free Music Review: Sex and the City. Hit: 4 Stars
Much better soundtrack then I expected. Much as the ladies in the movie are diverse but complement each other, so do the songs on the soundtrack. It is a lovely marriage of the old and the new. "How Do You Mend a Broken Heart" is a particular favorite of mine. Fergie's track "Labels or Love" will get stuck in your head for hours. All in all very nice.
Thank you to the lovely ladies of One2One Network or sending me the soundtrack.
Free Music Review: Takes you to the Scene Hit: 4 Stars
This was a really cool soundtrack! It really takes you into the movie, or the series! It has some great new songs as well as a coupld of blasts from the past. A remake of "How Deep is your Love", the original "Walk This Way" by Run DMC & Aerosmith!
Quite a mix of sounds, something for everyone on this album.
I would recommend the soundtrack for anyone 13+. This is one you want in your collection.
Free Music Review: Good for "girls Night" Hit: 4 Stars
I was surprised that I liked the soundtrack. I was not a huge fan of the show (I know what rock was I living under), and thought the movie was just ok. I like the mix of different songs. This CD would be perfect for girls night out, or in :-) I especially liked Joss stone!
