This soundtrack was amazing! It was so powerful and inspiring. I strongly urge you to buy it! I could not get over how much it meant to me. I cried and sang and it was the most wonderful cd I ever bought. My dads a music critict and said that this was the best soundtrack he had ever listened to. He said it was a fully moving sound track that people of any age would enjoy. He also said that it had gotten the best reviews hed ever seen. My parents recently split up and it really tore me apart. When I felt down I would play my CD and It would take all the pain away. Too bad a record company feels it must rationalize a fabulous film score with goofy, inferior pop takeoffs. This CD squanders valuable space that could have been filled with the excellent score and songs from the movie, and fills it with the wailing and off-pitch caterwauling of pop singers in hopes of making a best seller. Thank goodness the film's score and songs are so powerful and beautifully done that even the worst efforts of the soul-less pop culture producers can't ruin it. I didn't think Hans Zimmer could beat his work in Crimson Tide, but here it is.

I bought this movie as a result of seeing the Prince of Egypt movie. The music seemed very powerful and entrancing. I also liked the opening scene of Deliver Us. Ofra Haza's voice is magnificent and I read of her death, which makes this soundtrack even more valuable to me.As I listen to this soundtrack and feel the pulses of the music I can see in my minds eye exactly what is going on in the movie. I think my most favorite song is to "Look at Your Life Through Heaven's Eyes". How appropriate and what a positive message it represents for everyone.

This soundtrack is a gem. From the grand "Deliver us" untill the gentle "when you believe", this CD takes you on a magical journey through ancient Egypt. The splendid quality of the songs and score and the beautiful voices makes this soundtrack one of the best you can find. From the composers from the lion king and the hunchback of the Notre Dame (Hans Zimmer & Stephen shwartz)comes this wonderful soundtrack. A "must-buy". I realized that I (embarrassingly) used, in the last paragraph, the word Illicited, when I should have used the word Elicited.Can you please, if you decide to post my review, change this word from Illicited TO Elicited?
