Free Music Review: Great CD, but too many negative songs

I understand the album is meant to be emotional and sad, so the slow melodic riffs and almost whining voice of the lead singer give the music some validity and power, but some people cannot listen to this much depressing music without becoming extremely depressed. Personally, I like the CD, and I have no problems listening to depressing music, but an album like this will never be popular on a large scale.Free Music Review: WOW

I, like a lot of the other reviewers, hadn't really ever listened to OLP when this album came out, but when I did I went out on a limb and bought it because I liked 'Clumsy' and 'Superman's Dead'. Best decision ever. This whole album is incredible. It didn't leave my CD player for a LONG time. For those of you who could care less about what the riffs sound like but are looking for something good, this is for you. It has a great combination of heavier and softer songs and the lyrics will leave you thinking. When I first heard it, I must've listened to '4am' about 20 times straight. I highly recommend this album to anyone who is stuck between the heavy rock/rap. ...Free Music Review: Our Lady Peace does it again

Our Lady Peace gained a lot of respect with their first album, Naveed, both in their home country Canada as well as in the USA. There was a lot of pressure on these guys to come out with a sucessfull sophmore album, however, I am happy to report that Clumsy, will definetly match your expectations and will make every O.L.P. fan happy.The songs on this album sound fuller and with more feeling than their previous album. The tone of the album is set with a great first song called Superman's dead. The album contains other great songs such as 4 A.M., Clumsy, Automatic Flowers and Carnival.
There are only a few albums that you can start playing on your radio and you won't want to skip any songs or just turn it off, well....Clumsy will be that kind of album. Raine Maida uses his unique vocal style to bring a couple of different kinds of songs to make this one of their best albums yet.
The way that these guys write, play and perform, I hope that they never stop making new albums. If you are just now getting into Our Lady Peace, I strongly recommend Clumsy as a great start off point. By the time that you are done listening to this album, you will run to the nearest music store and get their other three albums.

Superman's Dead, Autmoatic Flowers, 4 AM, and Clumsy make up a wonderful CD. The remaining songs are pretty good, but those four songs make this CD incredible.Free Music Review: Actually more of a 4.5

I would more accurately give OLP's "Clumsy" a 4.5 but that is not possible here. There are definitely very good songs on this CD. I loved Clumsy when it came out, but then when I bought it, I heard songs like Superman's Dead (my personal favorite), 4AM and Hello Oskar. This is definitely a good CD, especially for Our Lady Peace or Smashing Pumpkins fans.
