Free Music Notes for GravityFree Music Review: OLP Does It Again Hit: 5 Stars
When I first heard about Our Lady Peace's newest CD, I was so excited! And the boys definitely didn't let me down. I listened to All For You with an excited smile on my face. If the first song is this good, imagine what the rest of the CD holds in store! Halfway through Do You Like It, only the second song on the album, it was official- I already loved Gravity. It is certainly a different album for the band, but even so, we don't miss out on OLP's unique sound because of songs like Made Of Steel, Sell My Soul, and Bring Back The Sun. New guitarist, Steve Mazur, has brought a new, bigger sound to the band, which helps the new songs ROCK! Part of the reason I adore this album so much is that I find myself relating to the lyrics of a lot of the songs. It's hard to relate to lyrics these days, because most of the popular songs are all the same. But once again, OLP has managed to stand out in the sea of sameness. Their diverse sound, songs, and attitude have won my heart again.
Free Music Review: Its Not Clumsy, But Its Not Supposed To Be. Hit: 5 Stars
Long time fans of OLP have accused them of selling out with this album. I can see how they can think that. But, I also completely disagree with them. This is not another Clumsy. But I don't know if there should be another clumsy. I don't know if OLP can ever make another Clumsy, for that matter. I think they can. I think they have in them the potential to make some of the greatest albums of all time. And they have already done that, 5 times in a row. This album is not the abstract lyrical masterpieces that Naveed, Clumsy, Happiness..., and Spiritual Machines are. The lyrics are much more straight foward. And I think that is one of the strengths of this album. There is a sinewy strength in the stripped down arrangements and lyrics. This is a new sound for OLP and I for one love it. OLP has demonstrated that they can arouse powerful feelings using either abstruse or simple yet mindblowing lyrics. OLP has created another great album and I cannot wait for the next.
Free Music Review: Ingenius should be the name of the title Hit: 5 Stars
there wasn't much to it, i just knew. once i popped it into my CD player i just knew. Our Lady Peace did it again now in ten weeks and having some change to what their use to. they changed my heart and mind again and now with their fifth album under their belt you know they can only get better. with the absecence of MIke Turner in this album you can sense a new vibe in their new CD but OUR LADY PEACE can only deliver one thing and one thing only- the best. Raine MAida and his ingenius lyrics are "somewhere out there" with a new style all together. this i have to say is one of their best CD's to date. their fan base gets bigger with their constant touring and promotion. they're music will stay as origianl as themselves and i think it's due to their opinated lyrics that would cause scare in most artists.for this i would have to say nothing but the best can lead to one of the greatest accomplishments OUR LADY PEACE has created.

first of all i am not a big our lady peace fan. I have none of their records, save this one. i've listened to Spiritual Machines and did not think it was as good as this one. however, this one in my opinion was one of the best CDs i've listened to all year. call me a poser, call me whatever. but this one simply spoke to me much mroe. I must say that Our Lady Peace cannot be categorized with any genre of music. they sound like no one else. the CD all togehter is awesome. i love every single song. but to pick favorites. All For You - a very good opener. really caught my attention. somewhere out there- obviously the hit. very good song. not enough - a lot harder with more of an edge. i like this song a lot. bring back the sun - the best song to me. this one is something really unique. i recommend this CD to anyone that is willing to just open their minds. good CD boys. 5 stars peace
