Free Music Notes for Our Little Corner of the World: Music From Gilmore Girls

Free Music Review: The comfortable quirkiness of Stars Hollow...
Hit: 5 Stars

is found all over this eclectic mix of great songs, mostly sung by low profile artists. I'm one of those people who doesn't like songs right at first, but there were several songs on here that I liked immediately. Clear Spot by The Pernice Brothers, I'm The Man Who Murdered Love by XTC, and My Little Corner of The World by Yo La Tengo were all at first glance, fabulous! This is a completely diverse disc, with awesome layout and photos inside the booklet. It's wonderfully designed, the songs rock, and it's so quirky cute. I think this is a great cd, and most people would really enjoy it. Especially those of us who love the unsigned talent feel, and of course it's a must have for fans of the show.

Free Music Review: Great CD for true GG fans!
Hit: 5 Stars

I didn't even know this CD existed until I stumbled upon it on Amazon. Needless to say, being a true GG fan, I ordered a copy, and have been very pleased with it! The CD contains music from the show, and it really is a walk down memory lane, as some of the tracks made me recall the significant scenes from the show, for example, Track No. 7 "Oh My Love" by John Lennon is associated with the scene where Dean first professes his love for Rory. The CD has some beautiful tracks on it, and some are really catchy...I've been playing some of them over and over on my CD player while out driving! Am not sure if GG is returning for Season 7, but this CD is a keeper for me!

Free Music Review: Great Variety of Music, worth owning
Hit: 5 Stars

There is truly a great variety of music on this CD. It is worth a listen even if you don't watch the show on TV. Plus this CD has more songs on it than most of the CDs I've seen. Plus great pieces written by the show's creators in the booklet. Has everything from oldies - The Free Design, to "rock" - Elastica, and pop - XTC, and then stuff like Black Box Recorder, Bjork, and Yoko Ono. There's a song on this CD for just about every emotion you'll have! Try- Know your onion, Child Psychology, Oh my love, Human Behavior, I'm the man who murdered love, and Girl from Mars.

Free Music Review: A great show, A great CD
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a fan of The Gilmore Girls since the begining, but I just got the CD.This soundtrack really suprised and impressed me. It has all of the upbeat quirkness of Gilmore Girls in a well balanced CD that almost anyone can relate to. The music is cross-generational with a variety of little known artists and a few well known singers dappled in. You can't help felling happy after listening to this CD. I really hope they continue to produce more soundtracks to follow the feel of the show. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes great music.

Free Music Review: i found love!
Hit: 5 Stars

i've always loved gilmore girls, as a teenaged bookworm, quirk appreciator, & music obsessee, it couldn't have been more right up my alley. it's one of the funniest, smartest, strangest, pop-culture packed sitcoms around. amy sherman and daniel palladino really do love music, and it shows. this soundtrack hosts a great array of interesting songs! there is no absolutely no filler on this cd. it all meshes well together to make a strange, indiepop day in the sun. le sigh! buy the cd, spread the love.
