As a long time fan (you see, when you graduated high school in Atlanta in the mid-nineties, Outkast was required listening), I can honestly say that this is the most musically complete album. It shows an extraordinary range and depth of talent that most pop groups can't muster, with tracks ranging from more traditional Southern hip-hop to swing tunes. Outkast is to African-American music what Radiohead is to rock and roll. They never fail to impress, innovate, and change my perspective on modern music. Man, I am lost for words....let me start off by saying how phenomenal this group is. I truely adore them because they don't compromise of something they aren't and dare to go a different direction in their choice of style. Face it, what rap group that delivers live instrumental folk, rap, funk and R&B into one album? Not many!!! Matter of fact, they are a class by themselves and they can not be duplicated. THESE SONGS ALL ALL VERY NEW AND INNOVATIVE, KEEPING TRUE TO THE OUTKAST "STYLE" OF MUSIC.
THERE ARE SEVERAL SONGS ON THE CD THAT JUST TOUCH A PART OF THE SOUL WITH THE COMBINATION OF LYRICS AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS. IN MANY CASES ONE CAN NOT HELP BUT DANCE OR SWAY ALONG.
I WOULD RECCOMEND THIS ALBUM TO ANYONE WHO IS AN OUTKAST FAN, BUT ALSO THOSE WHO LIKE CREATIVE MUSIC THAT HAS CHARACTER.
YOU WON'T FIND ANYTHING LIKE THIS ANYWHERE ELSE.

Sorry, but music is developing. One could even say it is maturing. Don't get me wrong, ATLiens is still one of my favorite albums, but this CD just shows the musical talents and capabilities of these two amazing artists. Don't trash talk this just because it's different. Honestly, you have to ask yourself, am I truly that threatened by change that I can't accept the direction my favorite artists are moving in? Outkast is the best. This is what rap needs more of. They don't talk about what they got and brag about their struggles feeling sorry for themselves, they just rap, and rap good. I like how they modernize the old blues style beats and make them good... it's like a new style of music kinda and it's tight. Outkast better win some awards for this. I definately recomend this to anyone who appriciates real rappers and rap as a form of art.
