C'mon guys...give Sean "P Diddy" Combs a break! Face it- this CD is tight! Yeah, people make fun of his name changing periodically but the truth is, he makes hits. Not only does he find talented bands such as 112 and rappers such as G Dep, but also produces good quality songs and remixes. While Mister Combs may have not invented the remix per se, Bad Boy records was really the first company to come up with the modern day concept of the hip hop remix. He even says in the beginning of the album that the first remix they made was back in '91. Since then other companies followed (Murder Inc. and the infamous DJ Clue's Desert Storm label for example) and produced similar remixes featuring famous/not-so-famous rappers. The album itself is really well produced. It is chock full of hits. I love "I Need A Girl" feauting Usher. It took me a while to get used to it but now I love it. "I need a girl Part II" has a great beat and background music. I love both of the remixes to 112's "Peaches 'n Cream." Ludacris is such a great rapper and it shows on the remix. I first got into 112 with their hit "Anywhere" back in '99 and the remix of it is great. I wish they would've made the verses a little faster but it still has phat beats and great rapping. "Bad Boy For Life" was another great hit and in addition a down right awsome video, featuring the funny guy Ben Stiller. The only problem I had was that this record is missing some of the best stuff! I cannot believe they didn't put in anything from his new group, Dream. The girls are talented and have good voices. The "He Loves U Not" remix is tight, not to mention the "This Is Me" remix. And don't forget the club-hoppin remix to Janet Jackson's "Son of a Gun" which features Missy "Misdamenor" Elliot. Gee, for some reason there isn't a J Lo remix of "Feelin So Good"...wonder why that is! LOL So anyways if you're a Puff Daddy/P Diddy fan and want a diverse round of tracks to savor your R&B and Hip Hop tastes, "We Invented The Remix" is for you. My grade for it is an A-
