Free Music Review: One heck of an album

This is an album that redifines the possibilities of this new rap/rock movement we are witnessing. POD have elevated this music from pure and simple rave ups to songs that are just as intense but beautiful as well. Some songs are slower, some softer, from what we heard on Southtown, but this album is much better.The songs here range in style from punk to reggae to rock and rap. Most of the time this is all blended perfectly in one song.
The most outstanding feature of the album however is the production. The instrumentation is much better than before, and they even have a violin on a hard rock song. To add to that, the guitars come across cleaner and more defined on Satellite than on their previous works.
All in all, POD have moved beyond what is now typical in this genre of music, and made into art. To see how dynamic the band is, check out Youth of the Nation, The Messenjah, and Anything right. Then listen to everything else when you buy the album.
