Conte provides the listener with a wonderful experience that ranges from a 30s, 40s, and 70s jazz ambiance to a smoke-filled cabaret in Morocco. The influences seem tied to jazz,with a touch of blues, lovesong and carnival-like instrumentation and atmosphere. Lyrics can be dark and tangential, but with some balance, ranging from morose to light and sparkling with "happy feet." It's well worth the time. each time.
