Conte provides the listener with a wonderful experience that ranges from a 30s, 40s, and 70s jazz ambiance to a smoke-filled cabaret in Morocco. The influences seem tied to jazz,with a touch of blues, lovesong and carnival-like instrumentation and atmosphere. I heard the song Elisir and had to go searching for the CD. The rest of the CD is very strong and I have playing the entire CD regularly. The liner notes include the lyrics in English so you can know the songs even more.
