Paparoach is back, if you heard Infest when it came out, then heard Lovehatetragedy, then I guess you kinda know what is coming.
Adapting to today's scene, Paparoach 'evoluted' into a hard rock band after going thru their nu-metal phase. The songs here have no rapping, gone are the nu-metal chug riffs, and also gone are the hip hop-ing beats. Instead we got just plain good rock songs. Punk riffs, mid-fast tempos, good melodies and good singing.
Lyrically, they are still talking about the pain and missery most youth goes thru. It's their subject and that's what keeps Paparoach being who they are. No it's not punk rock, it's not pop rock, just plain good hard rock.
Highlights: Blood, Getting Away With Murder.
Lowlights: Blanket of Fear.
Free Music Review: AWESOME doesn't come close

I'm not under 13 but whatever... Like my title says, the word awesome doesn't come close to accurately describing this album. I bought this album after only hearing Getting Away With Murder and Take Me. I was nervous, but not rightly so. I was NOT disappointed by the songs on this album. I mean, all you have to do is listen to the choruses on Tyranny of Normality or Take Me to almost start singing out loud. The drums and the guitars are nice and complex (compared to a lot of the s**t out there that people call music). Of all the songs on the album, I DON'T have a single favourite. They are all pretty amazing in how great they are. So, if you are a fan of Three Days Grace, Seether or even Linkin Park (come on people, they aren't posers), I would highly recommend this album.Free Music Review: A whole new side of p-roach

Papa Roach has really matured on this album, and they sound very different. However, what they usually sing about has not changed. You can hear a slight bit of punk in it, if you listen closely. The single "Getting Away With Murder" is an awesome track, with a very mysterious feel to the song.
Standout tracks include "Done With You" and "Not Listening". "Scars" take on a whole new level of p-roach, it's literally a ballad, something p-roach but they pull it off successfully.
It used to only be Coby that took on the vocals, now the whole band sings, and new hidden talent is instantly shown.
This album is a must for p-roach fans, they sound very different, i never would've thought that p-roach would've evolved into this

I always liked Papa Roach, they were alright. When I first heard the lead single "Getting Away With Murder" I was amazed. The single that hit me hard straight to the heart was "Scars". I felt the all the pain in that song because I relate a lot to it, and it really made me appreciate this band even more. I can't put this cd down. It's always playing in my car. I love every song on the record. It is indeed in my opinion their best. Infest was great, lovehatetragedy was okay, but Getting Away.... is the greatest. My favorites are "Scars", "Be Free"(it makes me think of all the times I rebelled against my parents),"Tyranny"and "Getting Away With Murder." It was a really great buy, and I'm truly happy with it.Free Music Review: Papa Roach fans will not be disapointed

Papa Roach came out with a bang with their first album "infest", with such hardcore tracks on it like "dead cell" and "thrown away". In their second album "lovehatetragedy", they showed more of a more mellow, sensative side to their music, with such tracks as "life is a bullet" and "decompression period." But their new album "getting away with murder", they show signs of both previous albums blending together. If you like more mellow papa roach, then tracks like "scars" and "done with you" are well... for you, if your a hard rocker, then you will like tracks like "getting away with murder" and my favorite "tyranny of normality." all and all, a must have for papa roach fans, i can't wait for the next one.
