Free Music Review: This CD is one in a million
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great cd! I heard about Papa Roach a while ago and got this cd the day it came out. Papa Roach is a mix of rap and hard rock which doesnt seem like a new thing but this band has a song all of its own. I love every song on this cd. You don't have to like KoRn and Limp Bizkit to enjoy this cd (even tho I like both of those). Papa Roach has been around for a while and have released a short album before which included some of the songs on their new cd but they have modified the songs to make them better (i think). This is a must buy for any rock fan and is one in a million!

Free Music Review: best new band so far
Hit: 5 Stars

where do you start with papa roach.the cd has all the energy and groove of all their rivals in the nu metal scene but it is the blending that makes this so special.the agression and modern influences are all present and correct but it is the addition ,on songs such as last resort, of the more classic metal influences that make this cd different.in theory blending riffs worthy of iron maiden with the often pop accessability of blink 182 and the intensity of any of the top rap core bands should not work.in practise it does.this is the best cd of 2000.miss it at your peril.

Free Music Review: Infest > newbies
Hit: 5 Stars

Discovering Infest through listening to a song from GAWM on the radio is like saying "Man, have you ever heard that song Smells Like Teen Spirit?" Infest contains more originality in only 11 tracks than any other album I can think of. So if you're another thirteen year old girl whose looking for more songs like "Scars" then Infest isn't for you. Sorry, that was a cheapshot I know. I won't analyze every song on here for three reasons. One- I'm sure it's already been done, two- all songs (including the secret song) are 5 stars (in my opinion anyway) and three- I'm too lazy :\

Free Music Review: Distorted
Hit: 5 Stars

Papa Roach's Infest has the intensity, drive, reality and other genre influences that give this album a complete feel. This LP begins with the title track with a head banger driven guitar with a touch of rap. "Broken Home" is a highlight of this album with lyrics of reality and pain, but the echoing guitar riffs should get all the applause. Track 11 "Thrown Away" has an additional track behind it. It has a Jamaican, Reggae feel to it and this was a good way to end this album. Beyond the music there's a message about today's society and even those without.

Free Music Review: One of my favorite CDs
Hit: 5 Stars

I was introduced to Papa Roach by my friend, Eric. He came to my house, he said, "I heard this tight song on the radio." So then he typed in "Papa Roach - Last Resort." I heard it, and I thought, "Dang, this song is tight." Then I listnened to the whole cd and I started to like Papa Roach more. And I listen to the cd all the time. I think the best songs are, "Last Resort," "Broken Home," "Blood Brothers," "Revenge," "Never Enough," "Binge," and "Thrown Away."
