I would probably give this CD a 4 1/2 star rating but that rounds to five. This CD has good rock with great bass. I don't know why people are rating this 1 star when its worth more than that. It is very hard rock and has a tune sort of like Limp Bizkit. The good songs are -1. Infest

3. Broken Home
4. Dead Cell
5. Between Angels and Insects
6. Blood Brothers
7. Snakes
Those are probably the greatest song on the CD. Papa Roach has a distinct voice. It's very smooth and distant in some songs. Some of my friends told me not to buy this album. I just wanted to check this one out. To my surprise, the album was a great one. The gutairs in this album are very hard which I like and they have a little bit of a acoustic sound to them [in SOME songs]. Infest has a very cool sound in its refrain. Last resort just has a good tune. Broken Home has a cool gutiar effect in the beginning. Dead Cell is just cool. Between Angels and Insects is probably their best hit and should be payed more attention to. Blood Brothers I found out from Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2. I tried it out and it was pretty good [above average]. Snakes is sort of weird but has a awesome refrain and has great gutairs. The whole CD has a good rock tune to it. Buy it. It's good!

this is the best rock album i've ever heard. It's a musthave. All of the songs are excellent. Here's the score i gave to each and everyone of them:1. Infest: 10/10 a great opening song. the song with the best lyrics
2. Last Resort: 8/10 A great song but gets kind of old after a while
3. Broken Home: 4/10 My least favorite song on the album. It's good though
4. Dead Cell: 4/10 I always skip this song. It's just plain boring
5. Between angels & insects: 6/10 Good song. Great Video.
6. Blood Brothers: 10/10 One of the best songs on the album. This is one of the main reasons you should have this album.
7. Revenge: 10/10 My favorite song on the album. Definitely the most powerful song on the whole album. Somehow it got me through tough times
8. Snakes: 9/10 Great song. Interesting lyrics
9. Never Enough: 9/10 Finally something different. This song doesnt sound like all the others and it's really good
10. Binge: 10/10 My 2nd favorite song. A really emotional song
11. Thrown Away: 10/10 You MUST hear this song. It's the heaviest on the album followed by a nice slow rock song
* Hidden Track (Tight Rope): 10/10 A masterpiece
Papa Roach-Infest is a musthave album.
Free Music Review: Sorry folks, but this album's perfect.

First, I gotta say two things. One, stop comparing this band to Limp Bizkit! They don't sound like Limp Bizkit at all, and they're way, way better anyway. Second, they did not [copy] Iron Maiden! As a huge fan of both bands, and a guitarist (well, I play a little bit), I can tell you that the riffs on those songs are not taken from Iron Maiden. The guitar in "Last Resort" and "Between Angels and Insects" is done in a lower tuning than Maiden, which makes for a completely different tone, and plus "Last Resort" doesn't even sound like any part of "Hallowed Be Thy Name". "Angels.." sounds a little bit like "The Prowler", but it's a deeper tone, and barely the same. The only thing that really sounds like Maiden is on "Revenge", but again it's a deeper sound. So, that's that...P>So, moving on. This album is perfect. The metal and rap elements are blended together expertly, and the lyrics (well, most of them) are very meaningful. There isn't a bad song on here at all. I'd say "Binge" is probably the best, but man they're all good. Just buy it, it's great stuff. But, I think "Lovehatetragedy" will be even better. Oh yeah, this is it. This is the record that displays pure nu-metal, it blew me away, that's right, it did blow me away.I would like to start off by staying that this is an excellent cd, although it's style differs greatly from it's follow-up "lovehatetragedy". Most of the songs on this record are about suicide, boozy and anti-socialism, but believe me, p-roach are not out here to destory the world, they just want to make good music for us.
Standout tracks on this album include "Last Resort" "Dead Cell" and "Between Angels and Insects", each containing a considerable amount of rapping, this maybe annoying to some people. More melodic and mellow tracks include "Binge" and the secret track "Tight Rope", these display and hints what is around the corner of their next cd "lovehatetragedy". The cd starts with a grand opening of "Infest" and concludes with the ultra-heavy and scream-loaded "Thrown Away", all into one powerful album.
This is the record which displays pure nu-metal, and it definitely should not be missed out!
Free Music Review: Pretty good , decent lyrics

Now these guys do the rap/rock thing pretty good .. i think us 80's kids can appreciate this since we grew up on beastie boys (most of us) etc. ..Its catchy and the lyrics are not crap .They talk about things that are pretty important and when the cd came out was perfect when i heard ''Between Angels and Insects'' ..all perfect timing for me ..god , that song is true but what are you gonna do ... then ''broken home'' i dont even want to talk about what that reminds me of . decent lyrics , they mean a great deal to me .when ''last resort'' came out it annoyed me a bit but then i kinda started to like it , i kinda felt like the song but how they made a song out of it bothere me for some reason . i guess being faced with something almost everyone goes through bothered me , i dont know . dont pass this up for the wannabe metal scene kids who will scream ''pop'' or the teenagers who will scream ''rap is crap'' .. ignore those poser trendy anti people ..
