Free Music Review: Great CD, nearly perfect

I'm confused at why some people have been calling this CD "average" or "nothing worth buying". I think these people were expecting the rap-rock take that was on Infest or 5 Tracks Deep, and I was surprised, and very happy that they had more of a rock approach on this album. The "secret" tracks are amazing, though "Gouge Away" is a cover. The lyrics on all of the songs are really catchy, and Jacoby really went deep inside of himself to right some of the lyrics (Lovehatetradgety, Decompression Period, Born With Nothin, Die With Everything) and some of the songs just have to do with everyday life (She Loves Me Not) The CD was missing the energy that they had on songs like Snakes and Revenge from Infest, but songs like M80 show the hardcore type energy that this band shows in concert. This is really there first completely hardcore rock album, so it's not the best, but this is the third style of music they've tried (They tried funk, rap-rock, and now hardcore rock) and it is probably the best besides some of the funk on Potatoes For Christmas. N If I could, I would give this CD a 4 1/2, but I think a 5 is more appropriate.Free Music Review: Deserves More Credit

I figured I'd put in my opinion sence so many people seem to give this CD such a bad rep. Even large Papa Roach fans really seem to put down this CD. The fact is this is all around a great CD. The whole CD has a type of hopeless/angry moodset which I think turns people away, but infact, this is what makes it such a great CD. It's how Papa Roach draws their great energy and puts it into the music. It's one of the best modern Hard Rock albums fueled by these emotions. Getting to the actual songs.... Standout songs from the album are probably M-80 (Explosive Energy Movement), Time and Time Again, She Loves Me Not, Code Of Energy, and Gouge Away. I personally love all the songs. It is true that Papa Roach doesn't venture out much to try to make their songs drasticly different, but it kind of keeps with the albums mood. I should also mention that their vocalist is pretty freaking amazing, a great modern Hard Rock vocalist. Point is you probly have to hear it for yourself. If the only hard rock your into is like AC/DC, the fun stuff, then this probly isn't for you. A little more on the darker serious side.Free Music Review: PAPA ROACH BEST ALBUM SO FAR

This sophmore album (off dreamworks) from the Vacaville rock band Papa Roach opens your ears with the first track M-80(Explosive Energy Movement)... It starts off with a nice hard rock riff that proved that the P-Roach style has altered a little by dropping the rap and turning it into Rock and Roll. As the cd progresses it gets better and better... tracks like Walking Thru Barbed Wire shows some raw emotions of a best friend who has passed... as you get further into the album, Code of Energy really shows what the guys of P-Roach are all about... with string riffs and a great chorus... the final track on the cd (not including bonus) lovehatetragedy explains Jacoby's views on 9/11 and terrorism in general... now if you really want to know why lovehatetragedy gets 5 stars go buy the cd and listen to it... warning, you must be prepared to be amazed...
