Free Music Review: Excellent album
Hit: 4 Stars

I had my reservations about this album from the beginning. I hated Infest with a passion. I hated "She Loves Me Not", the first single off of this album. But when it came out last summer, I most likely just had some extra money and decided to buy it. I thought it was pretty good at first, but a few months ago was when I really started to appreciate this album. Jacoby's lyrics have improved so much since Infest. It doesn't sound quite so much like the wanna-be angsty crap of Linkin Park. What I think impressed me the most about this album was the fact that Papa Roach almost entirely dropped the rapping from the first album. Jacoby still busts out some rhymes on this album, but they actually sound halfway decent this time. I think the best songs on this cd are "Black Clouds" and "Time and Time Again". While I do highly recommend this album, I can't possibly give it 5 stars. You will not see another 5 star review from me until the next Tool album comes out, or if the Manson cd being released on May 13th is amazing.

Free Music Review: It really couldnt be much better
Hit: 4 Stars

Infest was an okay cd. Yet it is a cd form a part of my life id like to forget. That is when i liked rap rock. Infest, when you remove all the rap rock and bad memories is okay.

My best friend was talking to me once and he sent me she loves me not. I hated hated hated it. Then I grew to like it, and he bought lovehatetragedy. He was like, dude, you need to hear this. I checked it out and was amazed.

The hard, punkish, in-your-face she loves me not, was the first highlight. Barbed wire, however, was amazing. It has the most cathcy verse riff youll ever find in hell! The melodic life is a bullet was another highlight, and time and time again and born with nothing die with everything.

Some songs kinda sound the same, but its really all good. I mean, its this or go back to infest. If you odnt like it, i wouldnt be mad, but its an awesome cd and youd only be mad at yourslef

Free Music Review: it is very good but lacking that BIG track
Hit: 4 Stars

papa roach blasted onto the scene with "infest" in 2000,led by the slew of successful singles from the cd, most notably "last resort",which hit very high on the charts,as well as "between angels and insects" and "broken home"."lovehatetragedy" just doesnt have that standout, catchy, grab and pull in track.all the songs are good, some better than "infest",but none stood out in my opinion."she loves me not" was a minor radio hit and "time and time again" barely made waves.the production is a little rough but its good to hear a band do a raw rock record.even the song titles arent catchy enough for singles (walking thru barbed wire, single indestructible droid).overall, this is a good cd,a good progression for papa roach.its only flaw was the fact that it is hindered in its publicity due to the fact that there is not one specific song to make this album stand out.

Free Music Review: good but infest was better
Hit: 4 Stars

i still remember when infest came out. it was one of the best cds at the time. there was so much rage in the songs that i could relate to. then i heard she loves me not on the radio and i was impressed.then i bought the album but it didnt blow me away like infest did, which is why i give this 4 stars. but i still love this album. papa roach covers lots of corners here from the rockin m-80 to the soft black clouds. the best songs are m-80,life is a bullet, walking thru barbed wire, born with nothing die with everything, she loves me not,s.i.d.,black clouds, and the title track.but i suggest borrowing the album before buying it, because it takes a while to like. hopefully they were only experimenting here and that their next album sounds like infest.

Free Music Review: Glad to see they cut out the rap!
Hit: 4 Stars

Papa Roach's major label debut was a good album for its time:99-00. Back when TRL played bands like limp bizkit, korn, incubus and P.O.D.Papa Roach got tons of airplay for the Last Resort and Broken Home Videos. But, that was then, this is now. Rap Rock is dead. This album really shows Coby's voice. He's a pretty talented singer actually. There is hardly any rap on this record(always a good sign) The only rapping is on the bridge in "She loves me not"but hey, it's the first single. They have to.All in all better than Infest.I also heard that Limp Bizkit's new album cut out the rap. Let's all hope.
