Free Music Review: SIGHTS TO SEE AFTER A NIGHT IN PARIS
Hit: 5 Stars

On September 15 2005, i reviewed Paris's movie THE HILLZ and in the closing of that review i said "God save us from the album she's so busily recording", well, i judged before i listened and i shouldn't have!

01. TURN IT UP : 6/10
Paris breathes her way through the into (well actually, most of the album), whispering "That's Hot", "Scott Storch" and "Ahh!" In Paris's defence, it does have "Hot" club beats but the formular wears really thin after a few listens and feels too repetitive.

02. FIGHTING OVER ME : 6/10
It's basically Fat Joe and Jadakiss featuring Paris, she just sings the chorus! The piano hip hop sound vaguely sounds like 50 CENT's "IF I CAN'T", mildly catchy, here to show diversaty.

03. STARS ARE BLIND : 8/10
The reggae summer suprise hit, she definetly shocked quite a few people with this single. I couldn't believe it was her straight away. Bouncy, addictive and fun, shows a softer side to Paris.

04. I WANT YOU : 10/10
"LOVES IT!" The GREASE sample only adds to this infectious hit in the waiting! It's brilliant, fun, happy pop that's nothing less that addictive!

05. JEALOUSY : 8/10
Lyrically, it's the best song on the album, vocally, it's the worst song on the album. Paris sounds like a chick who advertises dirty text ads at 2am. Though she won't admit it, Paris has obviously (co-) written this about nicole. I'd love to hear Nicoles reaction to this song, with lines like "you sold your soul for your fame" and "you'll still never walk a day in my shoes", Nicoles ears would white hot!

06. HEARTBEAT : 8/10
The only ballad here, it's sweet, sugar coated and cute. Needless to say, she doesnt have any writting credits on this track, it's hard to imagine her having inspiration to write it, but she pulls it off very well.

07. NOTHING IN THIS WORLD : 10/10
The producers of KELLY CLARKSON serve up the third single, sexy beats and technology even gives her vocals a bit of a boost in the chorus to make her sound the least bit like a CLARKSON song. Great, lovable impressive pop.

08. SCREWED : 8/10
Yes, it's been re-recorded and slightly updated, but still, it's not very different from the internet version that leaked 3 years ago. Soft verses + loud chorus = yet another single option but hopefully not, we've heard it for too long before.

09. NOT LEAVING WITH OUT YOU : 8/10
Very late 80's, early 90's funky pop. Unlike other song here that CAN turn you off after a few listens, this is a real grower! The bridge gets stuck in your head, i'm constantly humming "We can dance, We can dance, We can dance..."

10. TURN YOU ON : 7/10
More sexy, club beats. This sounds like a GWEN STEFANI left over but, hey, thats not necessarily a bad thing. Paris sings about not meaning to turn people on. We've seen her at clubs, those moves and poses aren't accidental!

11. DO YA THINK I'M SEXY : 9/10
The only cover to make the album, it's definetly another grower, it's hard to imagine Paris singing this after hearing ROD STEWART sing it, she wisely avoids the high notes and makes it more groovy. This is just novelty fun, not to be taken too seriously.

OVERALL : Better than most people would think! It's very unfair that people judge her on every little thing before the see, smell or hear her products/work! She's teased us with this album since 2002 and the time she's taken to record it has paid off! Congratulations Paris! Whether it goes multi-platinum or not, she really has accomplished quite a an impressive record!

LISTEN WITHOUT PREJUDICE

Free Music Review: Very catchy...
Hit: 5 Stars

Alot of people are telling me the only reason I like this CD is because, well it's by Paris Hilton, and I love her. But I can honestly say that thats not the only reason. This album is very well produced, and Most of the tracks are very catchy. I'd have to say she's a mix of Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, and even a little Madonna.
1. Turn It Up- This is one of my favorites on the album, and it was supposed to be the second single from the disc, but ended up just being a sort of Remix single. Scott Storch produced it, and it sounds awesome, one of the more "Britney" tracks. 5/5

2. Fightin' Over Me- Well I can't say that I like this song, as much as the others, although it seems to be antoher fan favorite. It was a good move for Paris, since Hip-Hop mixed with Pop seems to be really hott right now, although I do wish she did more in this song, then just the hook. 3/5

3. Stars Are Blind- Since it got released in June, it's been the #1 played song on my iPod. Im glad Paris released this as her first single, very smart choise. It hit #15 on Billboards Top 100 singles. very good song, Reminds me of Blondie, and a little Janet Jackson. 5/5

4. I Want You- At first I didnt really like this song, but then it grew on me. It's one of those songs, thats very fun to just dance around too and let loose. I love the fact that she used "Grease" in it, it sounds good. 4/5

5. Jelousy- Love this song. Catchy Lyrics, almost anyone can relate to it. It's one of those songs, when you listen to it, you can automaticly think of someone you would sing it about. I like this one alot. 5/5

6. Heartbeat- Out of all the tracks on the album, this is Paris' best vocal performance. One of the slower ones. It sounds like a mix of Gwen Stefani's "Cool" and Madonna's "Get Together". 3/5

7. Nothing In The World- The Second single from the album, and my second favorite track on the CD. It's a fun song, It's one of those songs to listen to while your in a really good mood driving around in yout car, just having fun with your freinds, very dancy. 5/5

8. Screwed- I heard the first mix of the song, in 2004, and was not too impressed. But this version is great! The song is a little bit more rock, then the rest. Im glad she chose not to release it as the first single though, But it does have a great beat, and some pretty catchy vocals, and lyrics. 4/5

9. Not leaving Without You- This is my least favorite track on the album. The beat is good though. It sounds a little 70's influenced. Not My favorite though. 2/5

10. Turn You On- This is my favorite track on the entire album. very catchy, and dancy, its bassically everything. Pop, Hip-Hop, & Rock. It's one of those songs I would love to listen to on the way to a club or something, its very fun. my FAVORITE! 10/5

11. Do You Think I'm Sexy?- Another Fun Pop track, I love the style of the song. She did a great job covering it. Another Great song to listen to while your in a good Mood. 5/5

Pretty Much this album is Hott, and I think paris Did An amazing Job!!!

Best Tracks:
Turn it Up
Stars Are Blind
Nothing In This World
Turn You On

Free Music Review: PARIS IS BURNING
Hit: 5 Stars

This recording is very interesting. It is SO much better than anyone would imagine (myself included) that it gets the 5 stars for effort - and also because Jessica Simpson's new disc is so bloody awful that I dare anyone to play the two discs after each other and come away with a bad nod for Ms. Hilton.

Unlike Simpson, who really needs as much studio boosting as humanly possible (she actually makes Madonna sound like an accomplished vocalist)- Paris sounds like - well - PARIS! This release is a sugary pop trifle - and what is wrong with that? I don't understand all the hatred over this young woman - she's frivolous, sexy, party girl sexy - she is a young heiress - please tell me what is wrong with that? The lady is trying - and as far as I am concerned, that counts for something.

The CD unfortunately begins rather week: "Turn It Up" is cute with her little breathy quips, but it never gets anywhere. "Fightin' Over Me" with Fat Joe and Jadakiss (whatever) is the real clunker. Skip it.

"Stars Are Blind" - I think this was the summer song of '06. At the beginnning of the summer everyone was wondering - what would be the "summer song"? Well I love in NYC and I heard this blaring out of cars constatntly and the reggae Blondie reminiscent riff and the upbeat, positive line "let's see what love can do" was a nice sunny reminder of the possibilities of a sunny summer. After this the album kicks off ......

"I Want You" - with the horn riff from Frankie Valli's "Grease" is wonderful ..... "Jealousy" (a poor allusion to her relationship with Nicole Ritchie - it never goes anywhere) ..... "Heartbeat" - okay - this sounds a bit like the Sugababes from Europe - and it is fine .... until ...

"Nothing In This World" - THE PERFECT POP SONG! Reminds me of a great 60s pop song - this has the potential of being a breakout pop smash - I hope it is promoted properly and the video is more than Paris romping and posing! The collection continues strong with "Screwed" - very catchy, "Not Leaving Without You" - really f-in catchy!, and then my favorite song on the disc: "Turn You On" - this is great party and club music. The disc ends with her cover of Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" - this could have been brilliant, however, I have to say, it sucks and falls flat.

Bottom line - if you are checking out this review because you are genuinely interested - add to cart. If you are reading to find nasty reviews of the most talked about b*tch these days - sorry - I have nothing bad to say about Paris.

Free Music Review: Lovers Will Love While Haters Will Hate
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all, I am not much of a fan of Paris Hilton. It's not that I don't like her, but its also not that I do like her. I'm neutral. But I do like her music. I think many people are just bashing her down because they don't like her and think that she is a nobody. However, I do have to admit that she is spoiled. I have seen some episodes of the Simple Life and she definitely portrays the dumb blonde image, but she seems to have a really good personality and a good sense of humor. In my opinion, she actually seems like a nice person and deep down cares for others, but also very immature. But I will now stop talking about her, and will now mention what I think of her CD. But I do have to say, at least listen to it before commenting on what you say about it. You may actually like it, or you may not.

If you like pop music and enjoy listening to Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson, you would like this CD. My favorite songs on this CD are "Stars are Blind," "Nothing In This World," and "Screwed." Most of the songs are fast pace and seem like they would be made for pop dance music. Many of the songs are catchy.

Who says one has to be a great singer to create good music. If I like the beat and/or lyrics of a song, I'm going to listen to it. In all Honesty, I could care less about the person(s) singing the song. Now I do admit, Paris may not have the best singing voice, but I can tolerate it, but then again I'm not very picky when it comes to different vocal types. That's probably why I can tolerate many different kinds of music with different kinds of vocal capabilities. But overall, the CD is fun to listen to. I would probably recommend this from the adolescent age starting at 13 to maybe early twenties, because the lyrics in the songs seem to fit that age group the best. I would also say this CD is probably better for girls to listen to because, I don't know, it just seems like more girls would listen to this type of music, rather than males. But if you like pop and dance music and enjoy music from Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, or maybe Mandy Moore, you probably will like this CD.

I may not have changed everyone's opinion about Paris, but at least give the CD a chance. I'm not a huge fan, but I like the music. I just think it's mean, in general, to put anyone down. But what can I say? Lovers will love while haters will hate. Hope this review helps.

Free Music Review: Amazing all these bad reviews
Hit: 5 Stars

Well I actually downloaded this, more for the shock (she sings?) factor than anything else. And i guess Stars Are Blind was a nice summer song (don't trust me? read Rolling Stone)

I ended up buying it through Amazon (UK)

To my surprise, this is not the sad pile of trash I was expecting, but a fun, in your face celebration of all things pretty and pink, with very little seriousness in the process. Not serious, you say? Must be awful, no? Well... No. So rarely comes an album that almost every songs makes you hum and whistle, and sometimes makes you sing a long.

Yes, someone below argues on this singalong factor, on how its so easy to do a standard pop song these days.. Well, we can all recognize plagiarism; this is not the case here. Sure, it follows a make-a-hit formula, but contrary to, say, Beyoncé's new album, it manages to keep that formula all through the album. We can also agree that a bad album is one that might have the first single, and maybe 2 or 3 other listenable songs; this is also not the case here. One filler song: "Jealousy", which should have been left out in the editting room.

But that's the thing, isn't it? People have been reviewing the woman, and forgot all about the CD. Yes, she isn't responsable for the writing. She isn't responsable for the production. She isn't even responsable for anything except putting herself in the music videos and on the album cover art. But people should put away their judgements on Paris, the spoiled brat, and take time to see Paris, the album, as what it is... a Summer effort, a road trip companion, maybe a soundtrack for the more careless afternoons in the sun.

Hey, I have my own thoughts on Paris Hilton. She is as plastic as tupperware. Then again, so is Mariah Carey.

But kudos to her, she let other people take care of her music "dream" and just had fun with it. For once, her money was well spent.

If you even remotely enjoyed Madonna's, Pink's, Brit's feel-good singles (they tend to have some on most of their albums), indulge yourself on the music, celebrate life in the sun! And smile, damn it!

This is the equivalent of Sangria, a typical spanish drink: not exactly wine, not just juice... something to take while enjoying a nice afternoon at the beach.
