i dont understand why the hate to paris, i mean she is not the best singer in the world, but you have to know something, she is a buisness woman and her buisness is controversy, so thats why its better to be on everyones mouth than to be ignored, that would be a shame, a woman so sucessfull like her would never be unnoticed and maybe she will keep on realising more cds, and you will keep bashing her, but guess what, she doesnt care what you think about her, she will keep living her life and doing what she does best that is live her life without boundaries, a world full of jelous people, frustrated well what can we do? live and let live, so if you dont like it go, and buy more mature music and for us who dont take music so seriously or just want to have fun well this cd is for us

It really is a very good album by Paris. Yeah ok, before she didn't have much of a reason to be a celebrity besides being rich but now she does and noone can take that away from her. If you like this style of music and it fails then sure slam the album. But if you don't like the genre then why complain? Go listen to what you do like. I don't understand why so many people dislike her. Why? Because she is rich and famous? It was the same thing with Pamela Anderson. She is beautiful and so is Paris. Leave it alone. I would rather have her in the spotlight than ... Rosie O'Donnell, ugh! All I know is I had pretty low expectations before but this album is really good. People can judge her voice as techically good or not. All I know is it is soft and sexy and the songs sound awesome. This CD is a first class effort by Paris Hilton & co. beginning with the album's photography and graphics. I generally listen to classical or jazz music but I enjoyed the simplistic reggae-vibe of STARS ARE BLIND for a change of genre. The second track 'Fightin' Over Me has very clever musical phrasing and interludes of rap. I like the lyrics and driving intensity in 'Jealousy' that "it [jealousy] is such an evil." Well put. The song is a good reminder of how we can easily be overcome by jealously because we tend to overlook how lucky we each are in our own way. My favorite track in this CD is NOTHING IN THIS WORLD. This cut could certainly be part of soundtrack to a movie. Great job Ms. Hilton! I look forward to seeing your music grow and evolve from here on. First off, for everyone here trashing the album because of how they feel about Paris, get over it. No, she isnt a perfect role model. Who is? Yes, she is a very privledged individual. Yes, shes made mistakes and No, she doesnt let them bother her. You go girl!
I bought this CD on the strenght of "Stars are Blind" alone. I thought maybe one or two other songs might be "cute" or "fun". After the first listen, I LOVED every song except for "Fighting Over Me" and the Rod Stewart remake of "Do You Think I'm Sexy". After the third or fourth listen, even "Fighting..." is growing on me. I might be the oldest Paris Hilton fan at 40 years old but, I'll actually be looking forward to more music from the Heiress!

Free Music Review: SIMPLY A GREAT POP ALBUM

Ok first of all, I am NOT a Paris Hilton fanatic. I find her show funny but I don't get her really. I'm also not on the "hate" band wagon against another human being. The girl is fricking SMART because she hired the top producers in the business and created a perfectly crafted pop album. Her vocals are listenable and she doesn't attempt to be Mariah. It sounds like she just wanted to have fun and that's what it is A FUN RECORD. The songs are all hooky, pop driven, super melodies, and different. It's simply a great, fun, party, pop album. Refreshing in all the garbage that is out there. You need to give credit where credit is due even if you don't care for a person. The Grease sample is a masterpiece and there are just some super, super pop tracks on here. Good for her!
