Free Music Review: The Chris Partridge Conspiracy

Why did Chris Partridge go from black hair/brown eyes to being blond and blue around the time this album was released?
At the time when child actor Jeremy Gelbwachs disappeared, rumors were flying that he'd been kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army, to hold for ransom. The idea was to hold Gelbwachs hostage. The money would be raised (and passed along to the Weather Underground) by a live telecast of Chris Partridge drumming a benefit concert from a secret location, in the style of Gene Krupa.
Their plot fell through when the SLA realized Gelbwachs couldn't really play drums; that session drummer Hal Blaine was the real tiger beat for the Partridges. As they were about to transfer him over to the Manson Family Singers (another group of dubious talents), the FBI stormed their basement and put Gelbwachs into the Witness Protection Program. Only by hinting that the SLA had knowledge of FBI director J. Edgar Hoover's cross-dressing did they get off the hook. Their next ploy, to kidhap heiress Patty Hearst and turn her into a brainwashed bank heister, panned out much better.
Meanwhile, elements of the Aryan Brotherhood -- working at the behest of silent partner Dr. Josef Mengele, the deranged Nazi geneticist -- forced the producers of the Partridge Family television program to replace the "reject" Hebraic Gelbwachs with a much more "acceptable" Aryan Brian Forster, a cute and dimpled youth of equally negligible drumming ability.
Known in Neo-Nazi circles as "Operation Trommelschlager," this first crucial test of undectably replacing Jewish showbiz kids with Kindervolk of Teutonic extraction failed miserably. Immediately, careful viewers discerned the slight differences in appearance between Gelbwachs and Forster, and the State Department intervened by sending paramilitary troops to Paraguay to try to hunt down Mengele, at which they were unsuccessful.
Failing to follow more stealthy textbook examples of cast genetic priority replacement (such as the CIA's subtle exchange of Dick York with Dick Sargent on "Bewitched" in the 1960s) led Mengele and his henchmen to go back to the drawing board.
Thy were much more successful in the late 1970s when they quietly replaced Suzanne Somers with equally blonde Jenilee Harrison on the show "Three's Company." The American viewing public, caught up in the ruse of their favorite buxom blonde being given the boot, scarcely noticed when Jack, Janet and Chrissy's Jewish landlords -- the Ropers -- were surreptitiously escorted off the set and replaced with the Jewish-looking, but quite un-Jewish Don Knotts.
