I got this to replace one I lent out and never got back. I would not replace something I did not like.
This is not your normal Pat Benatar, this is a big band sound. If you are a heavy rocker you will not like it. If you like older type of big band music Pat does a great job on this True Love. When this first came out there were many copies in the second hand store because hard core rockers did not like it. If you are flexable in your music this is a good one to get.

as a teenager, i was fan of Pat Benatar's music for it's raw pop power. i bought this cd back in 1991 as a young adult to see what she could do with the blues genre. i liked it then, and love it now. unlike her pop-rock of the '80s this cd has stayed the test of time for me. now that it's in heavy rotation in my cd library, i've come to see what other cd gems i've missed over the years from her.Free Music Review: Buried Treasure!

This is a truly excellent find if you can get it. I have never been a fan of Benatar's, but always a fan of this type of music. Benatar's voice fits nicely with her husband's production on these selections. I have owned this CD since its release and I consider it to be a gem. Highlights are 'Evening' and 'Please Come Home For Christmas', but all are really good.Free Music Review: She will forever be a classic artist.

Pat Benatar broke through her Hard Rock style with this album. Every song spills over in her skill and amazing vocal ability. She is truly a force to be reckoned with. If you have any sense of jazz/blues in your bones, try this album for something different. Pat Benatar takes a departure from rock and roll with this album of jazz/blues music that is really top notch. If all you've heard her sing is "Hell is for Children" then you should check out the samples. This is a true diamond in the rough.
