This album should appeal to an amazingly large population of music fans. Nearly every song on this album is a contemporary classic. "Blue Sky" will make you feel like you're flying. "Mary" will cradle you in an antique memory. "Tony" will validate whatever feelings of injustice still linger within you. And there are plenty more gems to speak of. When the CD arrives, open it up, put it in the player, and listen to "Goodbye" (if you don't draw some kind of parallel with this song, you're way out of touch). My God, what a song! Let it track through to "Carry Me". Then, have some real fun and flip on "Flaming Red". What a wonderful surprise! This is one of the best albums I've listened to recently. Nope, it's not the same as "1000 Kisses", my other Patty Griffin fav, but it's just as good - maybe better - in other ways. Never mind reading any more of my babble. I had no idea who Patty Griffin was until I went to a Johnny Lang concert and she opened for him....she blew me away! I have been to many concerts and she was the best opening act ever! Her live version of Wiggly Fingers had the same intensity and true rock quality as the CD's version. Flaming Red is one of my favorite CDs, and I have a lot of CDs. There is not one song on the CD I don't like. This CD will rock you out, make you cry, but most of all, entertain your ears with a wonderful voice, great lyrics and jamming sounds!Free Music Review: If you think the album is good, see her live!
