I recently saw Patty in concert (my third time this year)and after seeing her in concert and listening to both of her C.D.'s I realize what an amazing talent she really is. I hope that in the near future she will be a household name like Sheryl Crow. This album is incredible. However, the gem on this...and honestly on any Patty Griffin album because it's THAT good...is Tony. When I first got this album, I fell in love with the whole thing, but it's the only song I wanted to hear. The way she belts the line, "I know that story, I was sitting right behind you" makes my hair raise because it's so amazing. Get this album for every song, because they are all so good. Incredible. I too stumbled across her on "Sessions" and thought she was very good. Bought the CD and find it outstanding. It's almost like a greatest hits release, the songs are each so well-done and varied. She has an incredible voice and the band is tight. The production is slick but not typical Nashville shallow; rather, it sounds lush and fitting. I like a really wide variety of music and this is one of the best discs I've heard in a long time.Free Music Review: Incredible !

I first heard of her on Sessions at W54th and thought she was alright, she had some nice songs so I bought the cd. I was not prepared for what I heard. It has to be one of the most incredible sounding cds I have heard in a long time. Almost every song is great, great writer, great singer, great band, great production. If your like me and thinking about buying this album dont hesitate, just go out and buy it and be prepared to be simply be astounded.Free Music Review: discovered music

Don't really know where to start except that I was looking for another artist and was lead to Patty Griffin's Flaming Red CD. I listened to all the tracks while reading reviews from many of her fans. After listening and reading the reviews I purchased a few more CD's of her's and can actually say that she one of my favorite artists. I 'm happy I have found this CD and her others.
