Free Music Notes for Memory Almost Full

Free Music Review: Love it, Love it, Love it !!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

McCartney has done it again. I bought Memory Almost Full last July, and it has rarely left my CD player. His voice sounds every bit as good at the age of 65 as it did when he was 25!

My favorite tracks include Ever Present Past, See Your Sunshine, Only Mama Knows (which sounds amazingly like his 1975 hit "Junior's Farm"), That Was Me, Mr. Bellamy (although this one had to grow on me a bit), House of Wax, and The End of the End. The track Nod Your Head is a great way to end the album so that it doesn't conclude on such a serious and wistful tune as the track before it (The End of the End). Keep it up, Paul!! You still rock.

Free Music Review: Only McCartney Knows
Hit: 5 Stars

I picked this up on the way home last night, threw it into my player in my truck and smiled all the way home. I can't wait for a tour and to hear 'Only Mamma Knows' live. It would be a great opening number. I really can't compare this album to Chaos because to me it's that different. Not in a bad way, mind you because I liked that album as well. As other people have written, this disc has a bit of everything. Favorites: Dance Tonight, Ever Present Past, Only Mama Knows, Mr. Bellamy, Vintage Cothes, The End Of The End. I doubt there's many 64 year olds that could ever hope to come close to this level of creativity. Enjoy.

Free Music Review: Wistful and wonderful.
Hit: 5 Stars

"End Of The End" is one of the great McCartney songs of all time, and although there are a few "what-is-he-thinking" moments, this is a brilliant artistic success, even better than "Chaos" and certainly light years ahead of "Driving Rain, "Press To Play" and the erraticl "McCartney II." The harmonies are excellent, the lyrics are fine (though I could do without the "very, very, very, very" line in "Feet In The Clouds") and Paul's voice shows a range that is truyly amazing. The two singles and "Vintage Clothes" are bright and upbeat, "Only Mama Knows" pulsates and "Mr. Bellamy" is a quirky delight. Thanks, Paul.

Free Music Review: a must-buy
Hit: 5 Stars

Nearly every song has something that makes it great. Dance Tonight is just a catchy little diddly but after a few listens, even though there is no substance you're boppin' to it and feeling good. Ever Present Past--didn't like it the first couple of times, but now I'm noticing lots of subtlties that make it excellent. The best songs on the album though are Only Mamma Knows, The House of Wax (two awesome rockers the likes of which they just don't make anymore but should), Mr. Bellamy, and The End of the End--his obligatory ballad, but one of his best ever.

Free Music Review: Amazing creative masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

Paul McCartney has hit his creative and musical peak with this album. The highlights are "Only Mama Knows" and the five song suite toward the finish (the best of these are "Feet on the Ground" and "End of the End."). Those who may be critical of this work are betraying the rules of relativity -- what other artist could pull off a hands-on innovation such as this? Paul's musical skills are absolutely incredible...and in this album he grounds his lyrical statements in powerful images wrapped in the unique harmony only McCartney could produce. Brilliant!!
