Free Music Review: Music that tears at the heart

This man has a great voice, hearing him on TV and seeing his presence on TV and concdert hall, he is incredible. I am an opera fan and have for 6 decades, I have hear Caruso, and many Italian singers of all genders, but this man with more experience and polish will be a great shinning star.
I have heard so called accomplished opera singers that literally horrible and have poor stage presence or singing ability.
I hope Mr. Potts does what he does best and that enchants audience with his presence, voice and backed up by a first class orchestra. Performing in an opera may not be his style. He belongs on stage ringing those beautiful notes into the ears of the audience.
We are blessed with this man and his God given talent. His rise from obscurity is truly an amazing story. I hope he maintains his humility and not let stardom go to his head as so many so called opera singers do these days. The Opera News which features the so called opera stars are nothing but photo ops .

Free Music Review: His voice will touch and move you.

I happened on his BGT performances on YouTube. I was touched, as you could see how also were Simon and Piers and Amanda. He truly was the best. Amanda described it best when she said every time she heard him sing it made her cry.
I have listened/watched the famous three tenors, Pavarotti, Domingo, and Carerras. They leave Paul Potts behind in sheer power, diction, and musical ability. If you are into that, you may not like Paul Potts. However,Paul Potts leaves them empty handed in the ability to touch and stir the heart, emotions, and feelings!
I believe it is the sincerity and humbleness of Paul's singing that touches you. My wife said his music makes you cry, even when you don't understand the words. Most of the songs on the version we bought are in Italian, even the familiar songs like 'My Way' and 'You Raise Me Up'.
I think many people will be brought to opera by this person. I just hope he stays the humble person he is now.
Free Music Review: Paul Potts' Debut CD

Paul Potts was in a studio recording "One Chance" exactly one week after winning Britain's Got Talent (with a little trip to the US in between to appear on The Today Show!). The speed with which it was produced might show in a few glitches -- the orchestra backing is too loud in some places. But I am grateful that Paul didn't wait to put out a perfectly polished CD, for I was eager to be able to hear him sing without being tethered to my computer.
"One Chance" is an excellent sampler that demonstrates Paul's impressive vocal and interpretive range. After listening to it for more than two months, I still get chills at some passages in Caruso and Music of the Night; Cavatina still melts my heart entirely. The "money" note in O Holy Night is a stunner. But knowing that the CD was recorded nearly three months ago and having frequent evidence in his live performances of his amazing progress since, I am once more desperately waiting for the chance to purchase Paul's NEXT CD.

I am an opera lover, I wouldn't say that I am an expert however. I know what I like and what I don't like. This young man, is a breath of fresh air. Thank you Britain for voting this guy as the winner of your contest. Thank you Simon Cowell for bringing him into your company so that the world may enjoy this man's tremendous gift. Paul Potts isn't a perfectly trained opera singer, even to my uneducated ear I can hear this. Paul Potts isn't perfectly coiffed as so many in the industry are with their artificial plastic looking faces. Paul has a face like those faces of my friends and loved ones. From the time I was a child, talent like his, has touched my heart. That is where music lives - or should live - in the heart. Paul has touched the heart of this American and I am awed by his love and passion of his art.
Thank you Paul Potts. Please don't change, don't let the professionals pressure you into becoming "one of them". You are perfect as you are.

My wife watched the UTube videos and, time after time. wept like a baby! The voice of Paul Potts obviously gets to the very depth of her being. She couldn't wait to get his CD, which I've now heard, and I must admit that I agree with her view that Paul has something very special to offer all music lovers. Paul said he felt that he was born to sing, and we think he's right. His obvious talent and love of singing comes across loud and clear in his beautiful voice, intonation, and depth of feeling. What he delivers on this debut CD has the ability to reach one's soul. Paul Potts is the real thing. His wonderful voice will only get better with time and professional training, and he has what it takes to go all the way to the fulfillment of a career in music. We love this humble man's music, and we will be on the lookout for future CDs, hopefully containing the arias he loves and performs so well.
