Free Music Notes for One ChanceFree Music Review: Paul Potts "One Chance" Hit: 5 Stars
OF ALL of the Great Tenors I have heard (and I love Maria Lanza), Paul Potts has THE MOST passion-hands down! I love Opera and NOT ONE of the famous Tenors have moved me to tears like Paul Potts has. His voice is beautiful. His tone is beautiful. And with his added passion and love for Opera, this man is definitely a diamond in the rough that only needs polishing. With more training, this man will be HANDS DOWN the BEST TENOR EVER! I loved the CD. The only song I wasn't too impressed with was his rendition of O' Holy Night (I wanted to here him belt it out!!!). The US CD version did not have Ava Maria on it, nor did it have Panis Angelicus on it (GRRRRRRRR!!!!!). So I am am trying to find an Mp3 of those two songs. I PRAY THAT ANOTHER CD FROM PAUL POTTS COMES OUT SOON! I just cannot get enough of him! WTG, PAUL!

I'm ordering Paul Potts' CD for my daughter and myself without even hearing the soundbytes.
Robert Byrd, you wrote beautifully what I've had difficulty putting into words even to myself. I too was overcome with tears and emotion, as was my daughter, when we first saw Paul Potts' performance on youtube the night the world discovered him. I'm still at a loss to know exactly why he touches us so. Is it because this humble, unassuming shy man had courage and because of it, will stand on the great opera stages of the world, entertain maybe even inspire the bored elite, but most importantly, represent us, the common man who dreams of better things. Is it that he gives us, the little people, hope for a better day?
I pray Potts' fame and fortune bring him and his family joy and happiness.

I recently purchased Paul Potts' first CD. I had seen the excerpt from his "Britain Has Talent" audition. He showed much promise. That encouraged me to buy the CD. I was not disappointed. His tenor voice is beautiful, sure and elegant.
He has chosen works he sang on the TV program, probably knowing that they are winners for his voice. I have some of the other tracks by other performers and was impressed that his versions were equal to other better known and more experienced singers. His is able to bring deep emotion to his singing without ever being trite. His selections will appeal to a wide audience. Only the first track (Nessum Dorma) is operatic. The rest are good quality, easy listening songs.
Expect greater things from this modern day Caruso.

As many others have stated, Paul has not reached the apex of his talent, and there are slews of other far more technically perfect singers out there. But I don't play their technically perfect recordings because they aren't singing TO ME! Paul has a lushness and passion so often lacking in opera singers. He might not have much belief in himself, but he believes in his voice, as well he should. I can only trust that with top vocal coaching and teaching, he will iron out his weaknesses and go from strength to strength. What astounds is that this has been playing on my cd player for 3 weeks straight and I am never NOT in the mood to hear it, nor am I ever not simply moved and thrilled by that certain something in Mr. Potts' voice. Bravo, Paul Potts, BRAVO!!!
Free Music Review: One Chance! One Outstanding Album Hit: 5 Stars
I saw the clip of Paul Potts when he initially auditioned for the Simon Crowe's production of 'England's Got Talent', an unkempt, awkward man with an extrordiary voice singing "Nessun Dorma". To watch the judges expressions change from "ho hum, here goes another 'wannabee' to one of utter amazement as the audience went wild with cheers and acclamations. Fast forward to the finals when Paul Potts, dressed in a tuxedo and bursting with confidence, sing "Con Te Partiro". He won 'hands-down' over the competition and went on to produce this best-selling album in all of Europe (outselling the cumulative sales of the '2nd through the 10th top sellers'. We all love these 'Rudy' type of stories and Paul Potts leads the parade!
