Paul Potts was a winner on the UK equivelent and foreruner of "American Idol." When he sang "Nessum Dorma" for the judges, including the acerbic "Colin," I swear you could have heard a snowflake drop. Even Colin had only praise for this truly gifted tenor who had previously lacked the self-confidence and opportunity to make his voice known to thousands. (It was only at the insistent urging of his wife that he even tried out for the show.)It is a wonderful disc to hear, but, for me, when I listen to it, I hear more than a wonderful voice; I hear reminders that all of us, including I, can do, and SHOULD do, something wonderful, whether large or small, with whatever gifts we have been blessed.Free Music Review: Breathtakingly beautiful

I first heard of Paul Potts when I was given a You Tube link. I am completely unfamiliar with this type of music. I thought I was losing my mind when chills danced up my spine and tears came to my eyes as he sang. It was only after reading online that I realized Paul's voice has the same effect on many people.
The CD came today...I have no idea what he is saying, who else has sang the most of the songs....I just know is voice is breathtakingly beautiful. I am amazed that I bought anything having to do with opera...and that I did is a testament to Paul.
And in response to something he said in one of his videos...Yes, Paul, you are someone. Someone magnificent!

Sometimes I think people like Paul Potts enter the collective psyche of the world to remind us that there is beauty in we human beings, even though a very troubled world leads us to believe the opposite. This humble man with the voice of an angel made me, a grown man who NEVER cries, weep like a baby. I saw his performance on Britian's Got Talent and was completely overcome. He's here for a reason, and we should all bathe in his humility and allow it to cleanse us the divisions and cynicism to which we often succumb.
Paul Potts is also an example to all those who think they are "insignifant" (as he once did) that they have value. A remarkable man with a stupendous gift!

Paul Potts, previously unknown, has been taking the world by storm from the first moment he started singing Opera on Brittan's got Talent!! His voice gave me chills the first time I heard it and continues to do so every time I play his CD, "One Chance". Some are comparing him to Pavarotti, I think Potts may be a younger version. His voice is much more alive and vibrant than the later Pavarotti--I do like Pavarotti, by the way. If you're looking for something wonderful to listen to, this is the CD for you, even if you don't care for opera! His voice makes you forget the song you're listening to isn't in English. Wow!!! A number of months ago someone emailed me the link to a YouTube video that showed Paul Potts' first appearance on "Britain's Got Talent" I was captivated as soon as he started singing, then got goosebumps and then got teary eyed. I thought to myself: "What the.....?? This is Opera, dude.....you hate opera!" Or at least I thought did...or was supposed to. No "manly man" would like Opera!! Paul Potts has changed my mind.
As I've grown older, I've embraced a broader expanse of musical genres. But until now Opera was boring. Until now. Gotta quit writing now and go put Paul Potts back on. Oh yeah, I purchased two additional Opera samplers from Amazon.
